What you see is only part of the story. Before the lights dim and the orchestra begins, there are countless hours of rehearsing, planning, building, sewing, painting, learning, adjusting, listening, lifting, and trying again. Months of preparation become a few unforgettable hours shared with an audience. Some moments from Siegfried. We’re not saying we’re having a hard time letting this production go. We’re just saying this stage held dragons, gods, cursed treasure, a sleeping Valkyrie, and a young hero trying to figure out who he was meant to become. Now all that’s left are the photos, the memories, and the people who shared the experience together. A room full of possibility. A few weeks ago, these seats were empty. Then came the orchestra. The artists. The crew. The audiences. The applause. Four performances. Countless hours. One story brought to life. Thank you to everyone who helped fill the room. Apparently dragons, cursed treasure, and world-ending prophecies aren’t the biggest problem in Siegfried. The real issue? Red flags. We asked audience members one simple question: Who has the biggest red flag? Over the past week, audiences stepped into the world of Siegfried and shared what stayed with them long after the final note. From first-time Wagner attendees to longtime opera lovers, these are a few of the reflections we heard from the people who experienced the production firsthand. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this chapter of the Ring Cycle. Siegfried closes tomorrow with one final performance. For a few hours, this story becomes ours. A room full of strangers sits together. They laugh at the same moments. Hold their breath at the same moments. Leave carrying something different than when they arrived. Tomorrow is the final performance of Siegfried. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, we’d love to share one last afternoon with you. Turns out the world of Siegfried is surprisingly relatable. Swipe through for dragons, destiny, cursed treasure, and a few situations that may have hit a little too close to home. Tag a friend and tell us which character they are. There’s something special about catching people in the moments right after a performance. No prepared remarks. No script. Just whatever they’re still carrying with them from the theatre. When a story explores love, power, loss, hope, and the possibility of a different future, the conversation doesn’t always end with the final note. Some of our favourite moments after the show aren’t onstage. They happen out in the lobby, hearing people try to put the experience into words while it’s still fresh. What we keep hearing about Siegfried is how immediate it feels. Close enough to hear every breath, every shift in the orchestra, every moment of tension and release. Last night, you could feel the room holding its breath. The laughter landed. The tension built. The orchestra surged. And for a few hours, hundreds of people experienced this story together. Now, only two chances remain to join them. Siegfried is a story about discovering who you are when the old rules no longer apply. It’s epic in scale, deeply human at its core, and unlike anything else on our stage this season.
