When I was asked to do a makeover for a room NOT in my house my gut reaction was heck no, but my heart strings told me to go for it.
- not because I didn’t like the people (honestly they’re so nice)
- not because I couldn’t find the time (I was itching for a project)
- not because I couldn’t do it. (Cmon. I was born with the “how hard could it be” gene. 😏)

I was just scared they’d tell everyone I was a fraud.

Turns out… I can build things here, I can build things there, I can build things everywhere.

I learned along the way that me asking more questions that came to mind wasn’t annoying, it was just essential. 🫣 but the collaboration ended up in a gorgeous finished product.

They purchased cabinets from @homedepot in a gray finish with shaker style doors. I found this chevron butcher block countertop at @loweshomeimprovement that I cut down to size and stained @minwax phantom gray. Then I built the surround for their @thelitterrobot custom to their dimensions and painted it in a custom color that @sherwinwilliams matched exactly to their cabinet finish. All in all, the install took me a little over 2 days.
