Le Clash. You hear it in the name, a cultural collision shaped by the next generation. You feel it in every move, in bodies divided by the English Channel, yet united by the Game.

@allparisiangames | @hoopsfix.

Inside Gymnase Jean Jaurès, the building breathes. Eyes everywhere. Packed balconies frame the faces of ballers defining the present, and the future, of French and British hoops beneath the shadow of the Jumpman.

The final buzzer reads 107–101 for the home side. But by then, competition has already given way to something bigger: a celebration of community.

All in the name of basketball.

Sam Neter (@samneter ) confirmed today that he and Mark Clark have resigned from the consultation group tasked with reviewing and helping shape the future governance structure of British basketball, following the liquidation of the BBF.

According to Neter, the pair stepped down from the HCA-led process “due to being unaligned on the direction of travel.”

The resignations represent a significant loss to the consultation group. Neter & Clark brought an independent voice to the process and had contributed both historical and current research, alongside substantial proposals outlining potential governance models between the Home Nations and a future governing body. Those ideas had undergone extensive revision and refinement throughout the consultation process.

The departures also mean that collectively in the last 3 months 4 members of the wider consultation group have now stepped down / resigned, including Sanjay Bhandari from his role as Interim Super League Basketball Chair (published on companies house 4th June 2026), and Nigel Walker Interim Basketball England CEO who has been succeeded by Victoria Ward.

At the time of writing, there has been no public confirmation from the group’s chair regarding Neter and Clark’s resignation, and there has been little visibility into the consultation group’s outputs or progress to date.

What do you make of these developments, and what impact could they have on the future governance of British basketball?

Hall of Hoops: @c9nba_ ⭐️

Shining a light on the British Basketball Community 🇬🇧

Callum has helped create one of the most recognisable basketball platforms in the UK.

Through @isohoops.uk, he’s built the country’s leading 1v1 stage, giving top British hoopers a platform to compete, be seen, and build their names. With 12 seasons already delivered, it’s become more than an event series… it’s a real part of UK hoop culture, bringing the community together and adding something meaningful to the game.

A real example of how culture is built around the game 👊

#HASCXII in the books. 12 years & counting for @hoopsfix’s annual showcase. 🙏

The Classic continues as such a crucial point on the British basketball calendar but also personally has become the creative cleanse that marks the start of the summer season, a return home to sweat away the season, physically exhausting but wildly fulfilling to work alongside a dope team of people doing it for the care of the game.
