MARALINGA is finally screening in my hometown Melbourne. It’s amazing thinking back to two years ago when we were filming it… I was in a foreign country and missing home like crazy. A friend challenged me to write a horror film, and all I could think about was Australia. Looking back, this film was a way to feel I was still connected to my country, my friends, family and culture

I grew up going to @cinemanova, so it’s pretty surreal and an absolute honor to have Maralinga’s world tour end with a showing at one of my favourite, greatest cinemas in the world. Thanks to @sydscififest for selecting us again, thanks to the crew for the hard work, and THANK YOU to everyone who supported me on this years long journey… I couldn’t have done it without you all, it means a lot 🧨

If you’re free next Sunday March 8, 2026, I will be at the screening… come say hi!

BTS of the best cast/crew anyone could ask for to bring this dream project to life.

So much to say about this production but no one says it better than the poet herself @hilaryduff —
“This is what dreams are made of”

And yes I will share some stills/footage soon because damn I’m proud of what we captured. We got a really special project on our hands people.
But for now, learn some patience and check out these BTS photos by @jamestheakstonphoto & @alexisfrancel
