If you asked me a year ago what this verse would mean to me, I’d probably tell you about failing to PR in running and continuing to try over and over again because the Lord will make it right. This year, I’d tell that kid last year that this verse means so much more than that. It means to put all of your trust in the Lord and be grateful for the sufferings you will go through. Remain steadfast in His name and give the glory to Him alone always. No matter how well you’re succeeding or how much you’re falling, the Lord will always be there no matter what. Rejoice in His name when you are struggling, for the joy He will bring to the world is far greater than anything you ever could want.

I’m so thankful to the Lord for another amazing year at Upstate, and even more grateful for the people He’s surrounded me with. I love every single one of the people who supports me or wishes against me. Time for one final lap.

1 Corinthians 10:31

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the Glory of God.”

Every part of this season, the ups, the downs, has all been to glorify the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. At the end of the day, it’s just you and him. I cannot thank Christ enough for his sacrifice, so that I may be in Heaven in one day with him, but also to be able to glorify his name every chance I get, whether it’s in a race, a workout, an easy run, or just in everyday life, I am so thankful. None of this success could’ve come without him.

Next, I’d like to thank everyone around me that has become my community, even if it’s a small message from people I have yet to meet in person or just had a small chat I am forever grateful. Every race was for all of my supporters. Including my parents, teammates that are now brothers, every person who cheered me on, I thank you. This season is dedicated to y’all and the people who would do the same thing if they could be out here every day.

Onto indoor season.
