Thank you, thank you thank you to all my friends and family who made it out to celebrate my 30th birthday with me. We may not all be related by blood, but you are all my family. You’ve all stuck with me through the toughest times and you’re always there to celebrate the happiest moments. I could not have gotten through this last year without each and every one of you. Thank you for coming. Thank you for helping clean up. Thank you for keeping my mom safe. thank you for loving me ❤️

THE LONG AWAITED IN THE HEIGHTS CLOSING POST THAT I COULDN’T GET MYSELF TO DO.. and now here is my message to this amazing production of In The Heights.

well first of all, no words can truly describe how thankful i am to be part of this spring’s production… not to mention how grateful and honored i am to have played Abuela Claudia.

this show became so much more than just a production to me. it became a family, a place where i felt safe, supported, and something i looked forward to every single day. even though rehearsals were long, the time somehow flew by. and the moments backstage, the little things, they meant everything to me. i wouldn’t trade those memories for anything.

being part of a story like this is so special. it’s a story about culture, heart, and community, and i got to tell it with people who poured so much love into every second. i learned so much, not just about performing, but about myself and the kind of person i want to be.

there are so many moments i’ll never forget, like everyone randomly breaking out into “Paciencia y Fe” and fully performing it like they were me. it was actually so funny every single time. and of course, the way people would act like i was already gone and start singing Alabanza right in front of my face just to rub it in 😭

and i’ll never forget the emotional moments either, like during our very first read-through when Alabanza came up and i literally had to hide under the desk to cry. or closing night, when i was already in tears before bows even started and still had to go out there. those moments just showed me how much this show truly meant to me.

to the cast and crew, thank you. thank you for the laughs, the chaos, the late nights, and the memories i’ll carry with me for a long time. you all made this experience unforgettable.

even though it’s over, i know a part of this show will always stay with me.

this is your Abuela Claudia, signing out of In The Heights.

"Isn't that all we need, when life becomes unraveled, some friends who are like family and the road less traveled" ❤️

Im so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing theater community. Diamond head is truly such a special place. Thank you for welcoming me with open arms and giving me a place to go back to every night that could be familiar when everything around me was changing. This truly is, another perfect Christmas because I found all of you.
