What happens when someone gets close enough to grab you?

Combat Set 4 breaks down how to respond when an opponent grabs you. We start by pulling the opponent into a clinch to gain control and limit their movement. From there, we follow up with a knee strike, then finish with an elbow and palm heel using the same hand.

A memorable and well deserved weekend at @officialpowermorphicon! I got to meet some online friends, some new ones, and loads of actors. I just tried soaking in as much of the moment, I wasn't trying to take too many photos. I was there and a bucket of photos would only shows fragments. Can't wait for PMC 2028! #PowerRangers #PowerMorphicon #ConventionFun #PMC2026 #pasadenaconventioncenter

What an eventful year, a long journey this has been. To debut #TheBrokenVessels at @officialpowermorphicon was just awesome 🫠 I never imagined selling close to 40 books out of the 60 I had printed. This started out as a #PowerRangers fan project and evolved into its own world! Coming back to PMC after 15 years, 1st time ever as a vendor, and coming back to the fandom after 7 years felt like coming home. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth, even for just a bookmark and being open to me sharing the world of The Broken Vessels. Excited to share this with the rest of the world later this year. #PrimalRage #YoungAdultNovel #Tokusatsu

What an unforgettable weekend at @long_beach_internationals

I'm so grateful to have finished with Grand Championships in Traditional Forms, Traditional Weapons, and Creative Weapons, and then to be named Junior Black Belt Overall Grand Champion in both Forms and Weapons.

The honor that means the most, though, is being named the first-ever recipient of the Ultimate Female Competitor Award. Knowing this award was created to recognize outstanding female athletes and to honor the legacy of Mikie Rowe Moore makes it incredibly special. I'm truly humbled to have my name connected to the very first one. Thank you @archangeloo7

None of this happens alone. Thank you to my teams @karatefromtheheart @ico.usa @u.s.martialartsteam, my school @rdkglendora my coaches: @warrior.1_1 @samurai__jackz @isaac_lopezjr @jared_sawamura @cameron_whittington @masterninja85 for your support.

And congratulations to all the other amazing competitors this weekend!

What an awesome day at Williams Educational Center! We had a blast meeting so many amazing kids, sharing martial arts, building confidence, and teaching some basic self defense skills. Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and made the event so much fun.

We love being part of our community and bringing martial arts to local schools, camps, and youth groups. If you know of a school, organization, or community event that would like a free martial arts demonstration or self defense workshop, we’d love to be a part of it. Send us a message, we’d love to connect! #glendora #glendoramartialarts #prideofthefoothills

Had an amazing weekend at the tournament—reconnecting with old friends, making new ones, and cheering on my teammates every step of the way.
I competed in 6 divisions, battled through 5 rounds of runoffs, and fought my way through a three-way tie in the forms division, performing my form again to earn the opportunity to compete on the night show stage.Every round demanded focus, determination, and heart. Standing on that stage alongside some incredible competitors was an honor, and I’m beyond grateful to have earned the Double Grand Championship in the Junior Black Belt 17 & Under division.
A huge thank you to everyone who coached me, gave me feedback, and cheered me on throughout the day. Your support means the world to me.Moments like these remind me that success isn’t just about the trophy—it’s about the work, the perseverance, and the people who help you along the way. Now it’s back to the dojo. The work never stops, and I’m already looking forward to the next tournament. Stay humble, keep learning, and enjoy the journey.

What happens when someone tries to shove you? 😱

Combat Set 3 breaks that moment down into a simple, highly effective response. We don’t just step back and give up ground. Instead, we step forward to the corner to get off the line of attack and gain a better position. Then we fire a sidekick to the knee, followed by a hook to the temple and an uppercut underneath the chin.
