Talk about adjusting.

The Father’s Day Show on June 21st at the Leominster Elks Lodge will be held rain, snow, sleet, or shine. Apparently, we can now add power outages to the list.

About 15 minutes into the show, the power went out.

Not an Elks issue.

The town lost power.

What happened next was pretty amazing.

Not one vendor packed up.

Not one vendor left.

Attendees kept walking through the door and paying admission.

People kept buying, selling, trading, talking, laughing, and enjoying the hobby.

Thank God for cell phone cameras because nobody was stopping the action. The hobby kept rolling right through the darkness.

About 15 minutes later, the lights came back on and it was business as usual.

It was a reminder that this hobby is about a lot more than lights, tables, cards, and cash.

It’s about community.

A huge thank you to our vendors, attendees, and the Leominster Elks Lodge for rolling with the punches.

The show must go on.

And it did.
