POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
💛 Heart full thanks to all who joined me for the first screening of The Future has an Ancient Heart last Sunday at Mermaid Arts Centre

My intention for this project is to offer the film as a space for reflection, a slowing down of time, perhaps a re-membering…with post screening gatherings le chéile for exchange and in other cases making with our hands…as a way to think into our ecological selves and our relationships with the others we share Earth with

Míle buíochas to poet @gracelittlesanctuaryennistymon who held the post screening conversation space so eloquently and warmly on Sunday. To guest contributors author and activist @wildmarymary; diviner & guide Colin Campbell; multi disciplinary artist & forager @samyelyel for an invigorating & heartfelt conversation which opened out to all in the room. It touched on interwoveness, taking action patch by patch of land, both the inflamed and enlivened times we are living though, the potency of collective experience, foraging together, access to land and more

Míle Buíochas also Ciara Brehony, Elida Maiques who I work with as Moss Collective, for lovingly prepared snacks with foraged and locally grown ingredients during the interval..wild garlic from Knocksink Woods, sméara dubha from Bray Head, fucus serratus from Bray Beach, apples from Florrie’s and Finn’s gardens

Deep thanks to @artscouncilireland and @wicklowarts @wicklowcoco funding the project through the Strategic Project Award Scheme. And to the brilliant team @mermaidartscentre for the support for this project from the start

Last and by no means least, to all the artists who are part of the ecosystem of the film, more about them soon!

The next screening is at the Courthouse Arts Centre, Tinahely, 24th October followed by an optional Talisman Making Workshop

'The Future has an Ancient Heart' is having its first screening on Sunday @mermaidartscentre 🌱🌚🐌

Following the screening, we'll be joined by four humans, whose work in the world I hugely admire, for a conversation for all. Poet Grace Wells will moderate and guest contributors will be author and activist Mary Reynolds; diviner, teacher and guide Colin Campbell and forager and multi disciplinary artist Samuel Arnold Keane.
@gracelittlesanctuaryennistymon @wildmarymary @samyelyel

There'll be small bites by Moss Collective (Ciara Brehony, Elida Maiques agus mé féin) with locally grown and foraged ingredients.
