📍San matcha (Roma Norte location)

- Matcha coco -very coconut forward, not like a sweet coconut popsicle but more of a coconut cream/coconut milk! The coconut was strong but the matcha was still strong enough to complement the drink well! I really like coconut so I enjoyed this drink! I would recommend if you are into coconut and a less sweet matcha latte option, as this drink was not on the sweet sweet side! The only sweeter taste came from the crunchy coconut flakes on top!

- Matcha earl gray- very fresh but in a creamy way. This drink was not on the sweeter side but more on the fragrant floral herby taste that the Earl gray brings out. I could taste matcha but def more the tea since it has a very distinct taste! Either way I’m a fan of Earl gray so it was very refreshing for the heat!

MEXICO CITY 🇲🇽

A month ago, I spent two weeks in Mexico City and got to try some of the BEST matcha ever!!! Here are a few of my favorites:

📍SAN MATCHA
One of my favorite places I went to! We tried the Matcha Mango Latte and Matcha Banana Latte and WOW. SO AMAZING!!!!
I was expecting these to be more on the sweet side, but they really weren’t—which I actually loved. The matcha was super creamy with a slightly nutty flavor, and the cream topping on the Matcha Banana Latte was HEAVENLY.
MUST TRY if you’re in Mexico City!

📍May Matcha
Such a cute spot! It’s a small stand where one girl hand-whisks each matcha and even makes the purées for the drinks right in front of you.
We tried the Matcha Banana, Matcha Coco Foam, and Matcha Chocolate and WOWWOWWOW.
The Matcha Banana was so good but not very sweet (which I loved, but keep that in mind if you like sweeter matcha).
The Matcha Coco Foam was THE BEST ONE EVER. I’m obviously biased because coconut water + matcha is an elite combination, but seriously… it was SO good.
And the Matcha Chocolate?! I had never tried anything like it before. It was so beautiful and reminded my friend and me of Chocolate Abuelita (if you’re Mexican you understand) ALSO this drink was sweet so I recommend it for my sweet matcha drinkers.

📍Cremoso
This place was near my loft and it was so tiny and aesthetic! I first went with the intention to get the coconut water matcha that they serve in the coconut itself. However we went too late in the day so I went more simple and just got an iced matcha. Honestly, I needed this. It was creamy, refreshing, and completely hit the spot. Just a heads up: the matcha comes unsweetened, so ask for sweetener if that’s your preference. NEED TO COME BACK FOR THE COCONUT WATER MATCHA

📍HEMA
Loved this place and, of course, I had to get the coconut water matcha. Did I get it at 8 PM? Yes. Did I also have two coffees that day? Well yes. But it’s fine… my heart can handle it. I only got to try the coconut water matcha, so I feel like I need to come back to get the full experience.
