What would Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari be without its fierce protectors?! Meet Ranger Dan, one of the rangers working behind the scenes to keep the eco-sanctuary and it’s forest and precious wildlife thriving. No two days are the same when you’re looking after thousands of hectares of ancient native forest. Their days are filled with pest monitoring and trapping, maintaining 47km of pest-proof fencing, and making sure any damage is dealt with as quickly as possible. With rangers working around the clock, 24/7, 365 days a year, the team can respond to fence damage within just 90 minutes! (Which is the speed required to beat the pesky predators!) It’s no small feat. This mahi takes the team deep into dense native bush, often bashing their way through the forest to get the job done. Hence the name of our beer, Bush Bash!! $2 from every can of Bush Bash sold goes directly to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, helping support the rangers, maintain the pest-proof fence and protect the incredible wildlife that calls this place home. Bush Bash is AVAILABLE NOW across New Zealand in good beer places, our venues + online!

Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari is the WORLD’S LARGEST fenced eco-sanctuary and home to over 730 native species, including some of Aotearoa’s rarest and most endangered wildlife. Surrounded by 47 kilometres of pest-proof fencing, Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari protects a population of around 3,000 kiwi, and other beauties like the takahē, kākāpō and flourishing old-growth native forest. This extraordinary place is helping our endangered species not just survive, but thrive! And the mahi doesn’t stop at the fence. The conservation work happening here is helping restore native wildlife populations across Aotearoa, with Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari becoming an important stronghold for kiwi reintroduction programmes. That’s why we’ve teamed up with Yakima Chief Hops and other partners to create Bush Bash. $2 from every can sold goes directly to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, helping protect this incredible place and the species that call it home. Grab yours today! Bush Bash is AVAILABLE NOW in New Zealand, at good beer places, our venues + online!

🌿 A new approach to conservation funding is taking shape at Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. Through a partnership with @ekosaotearoa, @sanctuary_mountain Maungatautari has launched Aotearoa New Zealand’s first verified biodiversity credits, creating a new way for organisations to invest in nature while supporting long-term conservation. We’re proud to be supporting this initiative through TRENZ. Alongside offsetting the event’s carbon emissions through Ekos, TRENZ has also purchased Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari Nature Credits this year, providing further investment in the sanctuary’s conservation efforts and supporting an innovative, New Zealand-led approach to protecting te taiao. 🌱 Read our latest sustainability case study to learn more about this initiative and how it's helping support conservation in Aotearoa - link in bio. #SustainableTourism

It takes a village to make a beer. Especially one that gives $2 from every can sold to a good cause! We’ve teamed up with Yakima Chief Hops and, with a little help from our friends at @gladfieldmalt , @recorp_group and @frothtech we’ve brewed something special: BUSH BASH! A bright IPA brewed to support one of Aotearoa’s most extraordinary conservation projects, Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. While we might be separated by a few oceans, our friends at @yakimachief share the belief that protecting this planet is a responsibility that goes well beyond our own backyards, so we’ve come together to do a little good, one can at a time 🥹🕊️ Bush Bash is AVAILABLE NOW in New Zealand at good beer places, our venues + online!

#3goodthingsfarmer Day 6 of 60 taking notice of the simple good things happening around me to keep the brain ticking over in a positive way !! 1. Love a good porterhouse steak. 2. Cool to see a pair of Rosellas checking out the front of the house this morning. Also heard Kaka our native parrot flying over - up until about 5 years ago I had never seen or heard of Kaka on the farm and now I see them every day - sometimes in groups of 6 - 8. The birdlife teeming out of the Maungatautari ecological island is pretty special to see. Well done MEIT. 3. Got out for a ride with some good mates today. They are also “special” #3goodthingsfarmer
