This concept, we’re calling “Still Skies,” is an early vision for a Santa Monica residence. The shallow front yard informed our design of the entryway, leading us to create a pathway that runs parallel to the home. This approach not only embraces the linearity of the site but also enhances the experience by inviting more interaction with both the garden and the architecture. More to come!

Every year we volunteer with #thegivingspirit, an organisation founded by our dear friend #tombagamane who saw a need to help our homeless population with their immediate needs. Each year a team of volunteers assembles survival bags with everything that men, women, children and pets need to live and survive on the streets. Wyeth has grown up, literally since he was a toddler, helping to prepare some of the over 100 items that go into each bag. | Quem disse que o sistema construtivo não pode ser híbrido? |
Essa bela casa, projeto do escritório americano @sanderarchitects , foi construída usando um sistema híbrido de construção com aço e concreto e ficou pronta em poucos meses na Califa. .
.
As paredes e estrutura externa foram feitas em vigas de aço pré-fabricadas e transportadas para o local. Já o núcleo da casa(paredes e pisos internos) foram feitos de concreto armado e ficaram prontos em apenas dois meses. .
.
Para os fechamentos externas foram usados painéis isotérmicos em PIR coberto por mais 20cm de painéis SIPs, tornando a casa com com paredes de quase 50cm de espessura, hiper-isolada contra o calor do deserto de Palm Springs. .
.
Graças a esse sistema construtivo aliado à arquitetura passiva, a casa é altamente confortável e eficiente energeticamente durante todo o ano. Isso sem falar na rapidez e previsibilidade orçamentária da construção. Demais, não? .

| Who said that the construction system cannot be hybrid? |

This beautiful house, designed by the American office @sanderarchitects , was built using a hybrid steel and concrete construction system and was done in a few months in California.
.
.
The walls and external structure were made of prefabricated steel beams and transported to the site. The core of the house (walls and internal floors) were made of reinforced concrete and were ready in just two months.
.
.
For external closings, isothermal PIR panels were used, covered by another 20 cm of SIP panels, making the house with walls almost 50 cm thick, hyper-insulated against the heat of the Palm Springs desert.
.
.
Thanks to this construction system combined with passive architecture, the house is highly comfortable and energy efficient throughout the year. Not to mention the speed and predictability of the construction budget. Awesome, isn't it?
