Last week, we shared Angie’s dilemma: What happens when a bride suddenly says she doesn’t love her custom dress, just 3 days to the wedding? 😳
This week, we put together some practical solutions vendors can actually use if they ever face this kind of situation.
(And yes, some of our community members also weighed in with their thoughts 👏🏾).
👉🏾 Swipe to see how we broke it down, from communication to contracts to protecting your peace.
Would you have handled it differently? Tell us in the comments ⬇️

| The Sisters - who tear apart the roof for me, Ep.2|

Let me tell you about @sandssssa

Sandra is a joy, but if you ask me to pick one thing I appreciate about Sandra, it is her relentless pursuit of God. I say she is the baby sister God blessed me with to be a thorn in my flesh. And she doesn't even feel bad smh.

On April 5th last year, @sandssssa texted us in our chat and said, "The Lord will surprise you and Manny with a birthday gift."

I remember exactly where I was standing when the text came through—I was by the sink in the kitchen. As soon as I read it, I knew in my spirit that it related to the promise of a son. While my spirit received it, I tried to play it safe in the flesh to avoid disappointment.

Then, on my birthday (April 14th), she reminded me again about the gift. Then, I told her I had been telling God that the gift I wanted from him for my birthday was the baby boy he had promised me.

As I said in my last post, having Spirit-filled friends will hold you together in ways you never imagined, as God uses them to make you feel seen.

"What can the righteous do" is @sandssssa motto and now my favorite thing to say. When I think about Sandra, the person that comes to mind is Dunsin Oyekan. If you've ever heard him share his testimony, then you know what I mean - He is with God no matter what. And that is Sandra. It doesn't matter where life takes her, it doesn't matter how complex or challenging the day, week, or month is; still, she remains. And having her around you means you will remain too.

The friend who asks "how are you" and expects more than "I'm fine". She wants an essay explaining where you are mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I will admit that initially it was a bit much for me lol - not used to a friend ready to peel all the layers and unpack

In the group chat
Nobody:
Sandra: How is everyone feeling? Mj, how are you feeling emotionally? Simi, how about you?
Me and Simi: Sandra you have started
Sandra: Y'all answer the question
Me: Sigh
😂😂😂😂

You will not be free until you answer. She actually reminds me of @freda_kwarteng genuine folks who do not leave you guessing. You know their hearts always.
