Founder & Managing Director Indian Singers And Musicians Rights Association (ISAMRA)

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

💫✨🌟 A beautiful evening with the ISAMRA family !

I really urge each and every musicians and singers to be a @isamracopyright member for their future safety & rights !

Yesterday, at the 13th ISAMRA AGM in Mumbai 💫👍
A very special thanks to @sanjaycopyright sir 🫡

Meeting Hariharan ji, Anup Jalota ji, Udit Narayan ji, Shaan ji, Talat Aziz ji and Pamela Jain ji in person was truly a special feeling. What touched me most was the warmth, simplicity and affection with which everyone welcomed and guided us.

I feel deeply grateful to be a part of ISAMRA—an association working for the rights, dignity and future of singers and musicians.

My heartfelt gratitude to the Board of Directors, Advisors and the entire ISAMRA family for creating and nurturing this platform for artists.

Some moments are not just photographs…
they become memories that stay close to the heart.

Grateful. Humbled. Proud to be a part of ISAMRA.

Meeting the true crusader for the rights of singers and musicians!

For more than three decades, Sanjay Tandon sir has stood firm for performers who once had little more than applause. From the early struggles of the 1990s alongside legends like Lata Mangeshkar, through the landmark 2012 copyright amendments, to the founding of ISRA (now ISAMRA) in 2013, he has fought relentlessly so that every voice and every note receives the dignity, recognition and royalty it deserves.

Under his leadership as Founder, Director & MD of ISAMRA, performers’ rights moved from aspiration to reality. Historic royalty distributions — including ₹100 crore reaching over 26,000 artists — and the first-ever payments to musicians and chorus singers mark the quiet, determined victories of a long campaign.

It was a pleasure to hear him speak today at the All About Music conference in Mumbai on performers’ royalty and the journey of Indian singers’ and musicians’ rights.

Sharing a few Bandishes that found their way into the background score of @krishnavataramthemovie — where the timeless language of Indian classical music quietly became a part of the film’s emotion, character and cinematic soul. 🎶✨

Music direction & production by @prasad.sashte, who shaped the soul of Krishnavataram through sound.

Legendary flautist Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia @pandithariprasadchaurasia has joined the Indian Singers’ and Musicians’ Rights Association @isamracopyright

“This is one of the proudest moments in our journey at ISAMRA- welcoming Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Ji into this family. His music has inspired generations and transcends boundaries of language, geography and time. His association reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every performer, whether a singer or musician, receives the recognition, dignity and rightful remuneration they deserve. When legends stand with a movement, they inspire an entire generation of artists to believe that their creativity has value and that their rights matter,” says @sanjaycopyright
