We had a great time last weekend taking a group of students from the Lavender Living Community, UNIV101Q, and MEAMS classes to the city to meet with renowned Broadway producing alum, Santino D'Angelo '13, visit the MET, and see the hilarious queer Broadway play Oh, Mary! It was a great day filled with laughs, community building, and wonderful conversations!! And we got to hold a Tony Award!!! We hope to continue this new tradition in future years!! Special thanks to @santinodeangelo, Newing Collegiate Professor John H. Starks, Jr., MEAMS Chair & Professor Tina Chronopoulos, @bingfleishmancareer, Lavender Living Community GA Shannon Crowe, and Q Center Coordinator Erin Hansen for making this dream of a trip into a reality!! Three years ago we had the greatest wedding of all time- okay, I get it, I’m biased…but our wedding day was the most magical, special, unforgettable and favorite day of our lives. We both began our day getting ready with our all time favorite humans We both began our day getting ready with our all time favorite humans Our ceremony was full of music sung and played by deeply loved and talented friends & family Our ceremony was full of music sung and played by deeply loved and talented friends & family We popped champagne on a school bus on the way to the reception with all of our best friends Then we got gooey and romantic with a photoshoot in a field of flowers Our best friends never stopped hyping us up The horses came out to congratulate us We vogued We frolicked My gals were unbelievable and never left my side We had a gorgeous reception that our friends and family even helped us decorate the day before. (Just the greatest village anyone could ask for) We were toasted w/ unforgettable and iconic speeches that made us laugh and cry Some of my oldest friends made the whole party by MCing and performing ALL NIGHT. They did not stop. Absolute all-stars. My grandparents did a set that brought the house down We had a cannoli tower We danced And danced And partied in the literal rafters and until our makeup melted off all of our faces, half the guests were shirtless, and we couldn’t walk straight. I’ll never forget this day and all of the people that made it possible. It was as epic as our marriage continues to be every single day. I feel like the luckiest woman on the planet to be loved by Joe and by all of these incomparable humans who continue to show up for us in our life. Happy three years of bliss to us and all of you 💕

There are some things you start because you have a plan...then there are things you start because something inside you says, “I need to do this.” NOBLE VOICES was the second kind. A little over a year ago, I created a podcast because I wanted to hear more stories about people. Not just the famous ones or people with the biggest platforms. I wanted storytellers, creators, artists and unsung heroes. People who had something real to say. For a while, I was having so much fun doing it. Then...I lost my spark. I think I became exhausted by the negativity in the world. The anger. The division. The constant noise. Somewhere along the way, that noise became louder than the reason I started NOBLE VOICES. So I stepped away. Not because I stopped believing in it. I think I needed to find my way back to it. And lately...I've been feeling that spark again. I want to hear people's stories. I want to laugh, learn and celebrate the good things that still exist in this world. I want to create a little corner of the internet where empathy matters, vulnerability is welcomed, creativity is celebrated and we remember there is still so much good worth talking about. So...September will mark the return. And maybe there's something fitting about that. On September 6, I celebrate another trip around the sun, and this year I want to celebrate by giving myself something I'd almost forgotten how much I loved doing...creating, listening, connecting and telling stories. In the first season, I had the privilege of sitting down with Santino DeAngelo, Gina Manfredi, Roger Clark and exploring something deeply personal in a special episode about Downton Abbey...a show that meant so much to my late mother and me. Those conversations reminded me why I started this. Because behind every credit, every title, every accomplishment...there is a person. I don’t know where to begin to describe this last month of my life. I have the best friends, the best career and the best family. June marked the last month in my 59th year; tomorrow I turn the big 60. I have to admit this has been the first time in my life where the number felt weighty. HOWEVER … last month brought the freedom of driving my convertible with the sun baking down … the breeze in my hair, the exhaustion from an amazing day at work, the beautiful memories of my parents, the thrill of watching my students excel as they reach for their own stars, the phone calls from my children who somehow still need their mom every once in a while, and the beauty of so many friends. I can’t imagine anything making it better than what it actually is… They say it’s just a number, but numbers really do have significance - and that is a great thing to feel. Significant. We all have many chapters. I have done a lot. I have lived a lot. And here I am still filled with boundless energy plus the desire to do more… to continue to be present for the people I love, to protect my time and my boundaries, and to share my smile with the world. To all of you who make my life better, I am forever grateful. 🙏♥️ Tomorrow, July 2, will be a celebration ☀️🌸☀️

What a night! Tom and TKP celebrated at the 79th Tony Awards, where RAGTIME won four awards including: Best Revival of a Musical Best Actor in a Musical - Joshua Henry Best Actress in a Musical - Caissie Levy Best Sound Design of a Musical - Kai Harada We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love for this stunning production and our extraordinary company. How joyful and humbling to see this epic revival recognized in this way. We know that Terrence was beaming down on us all night long ❤️💙 Congratulations to the entire Broadway community on a great night!
