Temporary Texan 🤠 My send-off love letter

Dear Texas,

I didn’t expect a temporary address to leave such a permanent mark.

When I packed my car and drove south, I thought I was borrowing a few weeks. I never expected to leave with friendships that will last far longer than my stay.

Somewhere between the early morning workouts, coffee stops, road rides, run clubs, boat days, pool afternoons, long conversations, and spontaneous adventures, I started feeling more like myself than I have in a long time.

Y’all grounded me.

Texas didn’t make me say yes more, it made me say yes with intention. It reminded me that saying no doesn’t mean missing out and that I didn’t have to be everything to everyone to belong. Funny enough, that’s when my cup started overflowing.

The beautiful part is… this isn’t really about Texas.

It’s about the people.

To every coach, trainer, front desk staff member, and smiling face at @kollective.inc @korrectfitness and @thisgymatx thank you. You gave me my gyms away from home and welcomed me into your community from day one.

To @desnudocoffee, where my order slowly became “the usual” thank you for making me feel like a regular.

To every friend who invited me into their circle, every workout partner, every conversation that lasted longer than expected, and every person who made room for me, thank you. You reminded me that community isn’t something you stumble into by accident. It’s something people choose to create.

I’ve been lucky enough to live in and visit some incredible places, and this isn’t a comparison. Texas simply met me during a season when I needed a reminder to find my own pace, choose what truly fills my cup, and trust that the right people have a way of finding you.

I came here hoping for a change of scenery.

I left with so much more than that.

Texas, thank you for helping me rediscover a version of myself I’d almost forgotten.

See y’all soon. 🤠
