A big thanks to Michaelis Boyd for so generously opening up their studio for last week’s NP Sessions mentoring evening.

We spent the evening with a brilliant group of 16 young creatives, sharing thoughtful conversations, insight, and plenty of open exchange.

Special thanks to Christina Gregoriou, Sara Dowle, Mari Shirley, Theo Clarke, Gideon Black and Qasim Malik for giving their time so freely, and to the NP team, Sarmad Suhail for pulling the evening together, and Shazia Dhalla for keeping everything running seamlessly.

A sweet vignette, highlighting a London art collection that we curated, which was featured in @archdigest.

This collection came together over several years - we sourced pieces directly from galleries, via auction, by commissioning artists, and through trusted colleagues. It was truly an amalgamation of every strategy for us as art advisors, and it came together so intuitively and organically. Thank you to our loyal clients Mario and Chantal. 🤍

Not your ordinary parquet

This light parquet, the colour of buttermilk, was a bespoke floor we created for a renovation project in Notting Hill for @michaelisboyd. Though the cool creamy colour is calm, the pattern, a chevron with internal borders, is dynamic and striking.

We can create such a pattern in a myriad of colours and textures - swipe to see just a few. Do get in touch if you are inspired!

Chevron parquet & marble

@michaelisboyd Architects definitely know that flooring needn't be boring! For a recent refurbishment of a large family home in Notting Hill, they asked us to create and install this chevron parquet with an internal border.

The hallway features a different material altogether, a multi-toned grey marble. However, the pattern is exactly the same as the timber parquet - ensuring contrast and continuity at the same time. A genius detail - never think flooring is boring!

Another moment from an SZ Advisory client's collection featured in in Architectural Digest 📚 !
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A teensy #AlighieroBoetti handmade tapestry that reads "Lasciare il certo per l'incerto" [Leaving the certain for the uncertain], and a rare #RonGorchov cast bronze in his signature saddle shape with trompe l'oeil staples.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In this instance, the clients really trusted the process —they bought work they loved without necessarily finding the right "spot" in the home at that moment. When the pieces arrived on-site after the renovations were complete, the designer made some intuitive suggestions for placement, and the rest came together quite elegantly..!

A few photos of a very special little roof top garden we created last year with the help of our dear friends @landformuk @michaelisboyd @oliviawilliamsstudio @sarahmahrgardendesigns @tarakcollins for our wonderful clients @chantalpatrices and Mario! Without stating the obvious, roof terraces are often reasonably brutish and unfriendly places with significantly more fierce wind, colder temps and hotter more relentless sunshine.. all of these conditions are easily forgotten and forgiven when views and sublimely perfect evening light is enjoyed across the rooftops and chimney pots of Notting Hill…. Bespoke louvred cupboards with matching trellis behind hide the dreaded A/C units while creating a perfect stage for our @ahgardencollections planters stuffed full of sun-loving perennials.. #happydays .

Our latest ‘Corporate’ event hosted for the award winning architects @michaelisboyd

Our statuesque model @erawanhattie posed with eloquence on a stage constructed around a costume from @royaloperahouse specifically, their 1968 performance of Verdi’s AIDA.

A fitting dramatic background to enhance the style of the presentation and fully encapsulate the positive creative atmosphere within the studios.

The wide variety of impressive artworks further underscored the success of the evening, as did the smiles and laughter from those clever creatives!
