POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday, I had the privilege of speaking at a Mother Daughter Tea - hosted by Elder Sheree Hardrick. It was a beautiful event. Every detail was thoughtful. 😍

I spoke about the complex relationship between mothers & daughters and how it shapes EVERYTHING…including how we relate to God. We connected all this to Ephesians 2:10 and were reminded that each of us are a masterpiece. Not in spite of our story. Because of it. 🙏🏾

But the most sacred moment of the morning was something not planned. My mother was in the room. And at the end of the event, she was asked to share a few words. What she said moved me deeply. 🥺 She stood up and gave every mother in that room the gift of her honesty. She opened her hands and offered what she’d learned to protect someone else from the same pain. Her courage allowed those women to see my inner child being healed in real time. 😭

What God has done in our relationship…I don’t take it lightly. We’re still on a healing journey, but mannnnn we have come so far. 😮‍💨 And I am so grateful. 🥹

You can’t make me doubt God. I have seen too much. He is faithful!!! Not just in theory, not just in scripture, but in my actual life. In my mother’s life. In the space between us that He refuses to leave broken. 😩🏃🏾‍♀️💨🙌🏾

To Elder Hardrick and everyone who made this event possible, thank you for the honor. 🤗

To every daughter who has lost hope for restoration & reconciliation, BELIEVE AGAIN! Hope won’t put you to shame. 🩷🩷🩷

Thank you all for spending the last year with me !
The countless rehearsals with no complaints
For always showing up for me and what we’re trying building.
The constant changing of parts, licks, and words…..
Thank you all for letting me learn , grow , and mess up.
From the first album to the second album.
I couldn’t have done any of this, without all of you constantly showing up, so Thank You!
I Love all you all and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us! @royalfamily.music
