Four years ago I walked onto this campus without a clue in the world about who I was or what I was doing. I had big expectations and even bigger shoes to fill as a third generation tiger. I was 500+ miles away from home and from everything I knew and didn’t know a soul on campus. Navigating life that first semester was one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever had to go through. But then Rachel Stone invited me with open arms to the Bama game with her and her friends and never once made me feel like an outsider. And I met Ashley Barron while volunteering for CASA Carnival and we haven’t left each others side since. The rest is history….

I owe so much of my college experience to Delta Kappa. That first night I walked into 4030 I knew it would be my home forever. Theta has given me my bridesmaids and my most cherished memories at LSU. It has given me endless opportunities to grow and learn, the space to figure out who I was, and the people to be there for you along the way. It’s so rare and special to find a place where you can walk in and have an instant connection with one of 200+ women, and I’m eternally grateful and lucky I was able to find that.

To Student Government and College Council, I can’t thank this organization enough for giving me the opportunities to serve this campus that I love so much. I’ve met the most amazing people in every corner of this organization - united by the same goal of leaving this campus better than we found it. The days were long, my patience ran thin, and my inbox was always full, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

In two days I leave this place that welcomed me with open arms and I can’t believe I might never call Baton Rouge home again. A piece of my heart will always stay here. I don’t know where I’ll be or who I’ll be in the next 6 months or even a year, but I know that I’ll owe it all to LSU. Geaux tigers forever and always💜💛
