Taking my kids to @sarinajain ‘s Balle Balle Book Launch event epitomized everything I want to expose my children to

💃passion for movenent, fitness + health
🇮🇳deep connection to your heritage + culture
👏having your own unique perspective + way
👌leading, charting your own path + following the nudge within you
💪hard work + dedication to your dreams + passions
🔥 having a passion for life + seeing things beyond what’s in front of you
😊 Having FUN
✨ using hard moments + opportunities to build resilience

As a fellow Indian woman + entrepreneur, passionate about health + fitness, who wanted to be a professional dancer (story for another day!), an aspiring memoir writer, who is passionate about exposing myself + my kids to our culture + expansive thinking, taking my kids to this event truly hit all the notes for us!

My kids left inspired, feeling like they could do anything and existed to share @masalabhangra with all of their friends !

Truly a Saturday for the book! Culture, entrepreneurship, inspiration, dance, good food, reconnecting with friends + exposure to new ideas = success for me!

Stories, culture, and a community showing up for one of their own. This is why we love bringing people together.

Our Communities:

Sarina Jain celebrates joy and fitness through 25 years of Masala Bhangra

There was a time when Bhangra, a folk dance of rural Punjab, was hardly known in America. Immigrants loved it but in the 70’s, many were shy of doing it in public places or drawing attention to it in mainstream America.
Along came Sarina Jain, born and brought up in America and not a Punjabi, who not only made it a touchstone for young Indians as well as for mainstream Americans by unleashing a fitness frenzy using this village dance as the vehicle. Masala bhangra practiced first in basements and temple yards has 25 years later become an American success story. This year on the anniversary of Masala Bhangra, Sarina is releasing a book “All You Need is Balle Balle” tomorrow.
