There’s so much more to these photos than spandex, helmets and cool sunnies. 😎

There’s a bond- a level of support, understanding, and love that you just don’t find everyday.

Triathlon is so much more than a sport. It’s a community of like-minded, somewhat insane people. People that once you meet them, you have no idea how you lived without them.

It’s often said that making real friends later in life is hard. I agree with that. But I’ve been blessed to have these ladies, and the rest of my @thecupcakecartel teammates, in my life, through good and bad.

As I get closer to 55, one thing has become very obvious to me: life is short. And you only get one of them.

Surround yourself with people who uplift you, are honest with you, inspire you, pick you up when you’re struggling and love you. And for God sake’s, DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!

I don’t see these ladies as much as I’d like (life gets in the way), but I always know they are there for me.

So thank you Courtney, Tracy, Kirsten and Sarah for your friendship. It means more to me than you’ll ever know. ❤️

You don’t need more hacks.
You need a system.

I get asked almost daily—
Do you take supplements?
What’s your recovery protocol?
How do you stay on top of your game across everything you do?

So here it is.
Not because I think this is the only way…
and not out of ego—
but because I believe in educating and sharing what actually works.
As a coach, a PhD physiologist for the Navy, and a top-level endurance athlete for over three decades, this is the protocol I use and prescribe to our elite fighting forces to support energy, performance, and recovery so we can keep showing up day after day.

Ride. Lift. Race. Repeat.
Supplements don’t replace the work…
they help you handle the work.

Consistency > perfection

Watching these women level up in just a few days never gets old.
Braver lines. Smarter racing. Stronger minds.

So proud of every rider who showed up and did the work.

We kicked off National Yoga Month with a special class at our Midtown East NYC studio, outfitted by our friends at @prana.

Students got to take class from CorePower co-founder @yogalifewithdave and experience our signature C2 Power Vinyasa flow, the class that started it all. Their reactions said it best:
🔥 “Harder than I expected”
💦 “Loved the sweat + heat”
🧘 “I want this in my routine”

C2 is the foundation of CorePower — a heated, strength-building flow designed to challenge your body, focus your mind, and expand your practice.

Come flow and feel the difference. 🧡

The last time I stayed at @1hotel.centralpark — which I love, BTW! — was the night before running the NYC Marathon. Just about two years later, I couldn’t dream of running 26.2 miles (well I COULD, but the tendinitis in both knees would be vibrating in resistance).🏃🏼‍♀️

Being back with @corepoweryoga was a reminder to slow down; our bodies have always got us and they’re usually speaking to us. Sometimes a good stretch and lots of rest is what you need to heal.🧘🏼‍♀️

Leonard was truly an icon, beauty royalty. I was lucky to have been mentored by him. A transformative experience, a masterclass in business but mostly in soft skills. He taught me above all to honor people. I learned the values we share and the people we work with are the secret sauce. He and Evelyn sent notes and gifts when my kids were born, making me feel loved and part of the family. Some of my dearest bosses, colleague’s and team members are forever friends. Thankful to him and my ELC family always.
After a decade at Estée Lauder, I decided to join LVMH and Leonard said to me “you’re like a library book, on loan” - I think he was on loan to us. I know the angels are rejoicing. May Leonard rest in peace at ease, knowing he is loved always.

Boulder 70.3 2025 in the books. Was not the day I wanted, thanks to a flat, but that happens and there were a lot of good things that did happen.
I noticed something was off on my front tire just before the turn to descend on Hygiene but tire was not flat. As I was coming down, sealant started spraying all over my bike and me. I pulled over (on the fastest part of the course!) and both ends of my Dynaplug fell out so I couldn't get the hole plugged. I kept trying for 10 minutes but then, magically, the tire finally sealed! Mentally, I was ready to just call it but I only had 16 miles left on the bike so I rode in, cheered for people and took the corners lightly. It took all my mental strength to get started on that HOT run but why not get a training day in the heat? I knew I wasn't in podium contention so tried to pace it comfortably. In the end, I was able to stay cool on the run, so heat acclimation and cooling techniques worked. I also cracked my iPhone, tried to drink a celebratory Aperol spritz from a cracked glass (but the crack looks like a 🫶) so some weird message for the day? All the good things...
1) Sealant eventually worked
2) I got a training session on the Dynaplug and, had it worked, I would have been back on the road in less than a minute. I'm ready next time!
3) Good mental and heat training on the run
4) Had a great day with friends! I love the tri community and the connections we have and how we support each other
5) @larasonrisa and @kim.gritzbraker both nailed their nutrition (amazing N2F clients) and got big PRs!! I'm so proud of them for getting in their nutrition and sodium in the heat! They will rock IMCA!!
