When a childhood dream becomes reality…

Some client messages really do make my day.

My client is currently enjoying a very special safari in Kenya, a trip she’d dreamed of since childhood.

And what a welcome to Africa she received!

Within moments of arriving at her first safari camp, while she was still unpacking, an elephant appeared just centimetres from her room window! Imagine that as your introduction to your very first safari!

At the heart of her journey was a visit to Reteti Elephant Sanctuary in northern Kenya, a wonderful community-led conservation project. We built her itinerary around this experience, combining a safari in Samburu with a safari in the Masai Mara.

Travelling to Africa alone for the first time was a big adventure, and I’ve absolutely loved following her journey and reading her wonderful updates.

“Travelling solo to Kenya to fulfil my childhood dream of going on safari was daunting, but it has turned out to be one of the most incredible experiences of my life.”

And what has she loved most?

“The whole trip has been unforgettable, but it was the breathtaking landscapes and the genuine warmth and friendliness of the Samburu people that truly stole my heart.”

And perhaps my favourite words:

“I know I’ll return to Samburu one day.”

For me, this sums up what makes a truly memorable safari. Of course, the wildlife is extraordinary, but it’s often the people, the connections and the unexpected moments that leave the deepest impressions.

Helping clients experience Africa in a way that’s personal and meaningful to them is exactly why I love what I do.

And knowing that a childhood dream has become such an extraordinary experience is incredibly rewarding.

If Africa has been on your wish list for a while, I’d love to help you create a safari that’s every bit as personal and memorable. Do get in touch and let’s start exploring the possibilities.
