✨ 10/10 ✨ I contain multitudes. every version of me deserves to exist, to evolve + to be expressed. the most dynamic people are multifaceted. they have range. they change, explore + exist beyond a single identity and that’s something I sure as hell do. I was never meant to be just one thing 🖤

TOMORROW - oct 1 ♎️🌙✨ #newmoonburlesque with me and my last night time class this year 😩 register at SASSNSTRUT.COM
.
libra new moon + solar eclipse gona have us ushering in sweet, sweet balanced support. 🙌❤️‍🩹🫂
.
i’ve made the decision to pause a little bit longer on teaching nightime classes. the 4th trimester after bebe #2 is still in full swing and i need this time to settle in further. to find more rest and space to show up for you (my students) the way i want to. i will miss the classroom and teaching but thank you for seeing me and knowing i will only allow myself to show up for you in the most authentic way. nothing less.
.
and in the meanwhile @figgie_puddin will keep burlesque very much alive in @sassnstrut

thank you for this last year

for speaking ill on me
for talking behind my back
for questioning my integrity - my motives
for putting my character into question
for stealing my creative blueprints
for being intimidated by me
for turning your back on me
for making assumptions about me
for making assumptions that i’m doing okay
for not calling
for not checking in
for taking my kindness for granted
for taking my friendship for granted
.
your actions have put mine and my family’s livelihood at jeopardy
your actions have made me feel silenced
your actions have made me feel avoidant
your actions have guarded my heart
.
but i thank you, because
your actions have made me a better mother
your actions are making me a better wife
your actions have made me prioritize who and what matter
your actions have made my circle smaller and tighter
your actions have made my focus clear
your actions have minimized the BS in my life
your actions have made me rise above
.
may this next year make my vision even more clear
may this next year bring only abundance and love into my life
cheers to 42 🎂♍️ 9.10.82 ~ onward and upward 🙌

Meet Serese, our beautiful and talented choreographer who will also be portraying herself in Bald.

Here’s a bit about her…

Serese is the Founder and Creative Director of @brownburlesque and @sassnstrut . After being technically trained in dance since the age of 7, she welcomed burlesque into her life in 2008. She has now been a professional burlesque artist for over 15 years, interweaving dance and acting into her stage charm and collaborating with some of the music scene’s biggest stars. As a technically trained dancer, burlesque allowed her to embrace the individuality of who she was as a dancer, which led her to create her dance company, Sass N Strut - a fierce dance community, embracing each other’s individuality and empowering individuals and each other through movement. Then, in 2017, she birthed Brown Burlesque, a high-energy burlesque dance troupe known for its dynamic choreography and crowd interaction. These days she is most known as Mama Serese to her students, cast and her two baby boys.
