Being in the pizza industry these last few years, we’ve taken notice of a pretty big problem:

A lot of customers simply don’t understand HOW they order their pizza can have a very MEANINGFUL impact on the local community.

And honestly, I don’t think anyone has really figured out how to communicate that to the everyday pizza customer in a simple way.

So we came up with something.

🍕 PIZZA CODE

A philosophy that’s becoming a big part of what we’re building with Pizza Peel Magnets:

1. ORDER DIRECT
2. STAY LOYAL
3. SUPPORT INDEPENDENT PIZZA

And yes, there’ a hierarchy to it:

1. Whenever possible... go to the shop. Sit down. Eat the pizza there. Support them in person!

2. If not, call the shop and order your takeout directly.

3. Ordering online? Order directly from the pizzeria through their preferred online ordering system.

4. Need delivery? Use the delivery option the pizzeria prefers. (Don't default to 3rd party immediately)

We're not here to tell people they’re wrong for using DoorDash or any other third-party app.

We are pro independent pizzeria! 🍕🏆

It’s about helping people understand that when you order directly from an independent pizzeria, more of what you spend stays with that shop and goes right back into the business AND the community that made your pizza. (It's a win win for everyone!)

One order might not seem like much but every direct order adds up!

If enough of us understand that and make that small choice whenever we can, collectively it can make a HUGE difference for independent pizzerias everywhere!🇺🇸

Sauce’d at Hilltop Truck Park in Northlake is the food truck version of their brick-and-mortar in Grapevine, and they are slinging some of the best grub they’ve got on the menu.

Hilltop is a food truck park with a bar at its center complete with televisions and a stage for performances as well as a large play area for children. Around its perimeter sit 10+ food trucks.

Sauce’d is the truck closest to the play area, and for a pizza joint, they have one of the best smashburgers in North Texas. You can also order personal tavern style pies that are made from scratch every day.

Stop by and grab a burger and a cold drink to cool off from this relentless heat.
