Creating rituals that simply make me feel good 💫

Your body carries you through everything. Give it moments to recover, recharge, and restore. Prioritizing your wellness isn’t selfish—it’s one of the most loving things you can do for yourself and for the people you show up for every day 🕊️

When it’s Monday, and I’m still recovering 🫠

Yes, I’m all about health and fitness and mindset. But I also can appreciate living without rules and having fun too!

Although I will say, three weekends in a row is waaaaay too much for me - I’m more of like a once a month maybe twice kind of gal.

And that’s okay. As a neuroscientist, I can also admit that that’s okay.

There’s a lot going on in the health and fitness industry about being sober curious and what real health is and additives and microplastics and whole foods….

but when you’re scrolling on your for you page, I want you to remember that your morals and values are different than someone else’s. How someone else chooses to show up isn’t the only way to show up. And the way that you show up isn’t right or wrong either.

Do what makes you happy! Do what makes you feel your best! And even when we know, we won’t always feel our best, we know that we got to celebrate and have fun.

Because life is meant to be lived!!!!!

Event is @manderzmindset sculpt & socialize 💗 at @sculptd.philly

I didn’t realize how loud my mind was until I gave it nowhere to go.

No phone.
No music.
No distractions.
Just heat, breath, and my thoughts.

The sauna has been teaching me something I didn’t know I needed, how to shut it off.

Because we live in constant noise.
Notifications.
Conversations.
Content.
Always thinking about what’s next, what’s missing, what needs to be done.

And your brain never actually gets a break.

But when you sit in stillness, real stillness, yes it is 100% uncomfortable at first.

Your mind races.
You want to leave.
You start thinking of a million other things you “should” be doing.

But if you stay…

That’s where the shift happens. 📈📈📈

Your breath slows.
Your thoughts soften.
Your body starts to release what it’s been holding onto.

And you realize, you don’t need all the noise.

You need space.
You need calm.
You need moments where you can actually collect yourself.

Growth doesn’t just happen in movement.
It happens in stillness too.

In the uncomfortable moments where you choose to stay instead of escape.

Because that discomfort?
It brings out a version of you that is more grounded, more aware, more at peace than you even realized was there.

1% everyday, that’s it.

I didn’t start using the sauna for my mental health.
At first, it was just something extra after a workout.

But over time… it became something more.

The first few times, I hated it.
Too hot.
Too still.
My mind racing the entire time.

I’d sit there thinking about everything I had to do, everything I didn’t get done, replaying conversations, planning the next thing.

And then one day… I stayed.

I stopped trying to rush it.
I stopped trying to “be productive” in there.

And I noticed something shift.

My breathing slowed.
My thoughts softened.
My body started to relax in a way I didn’t even realize it needed.

Now, the sauna has become a space where I can actually regulate.

If you are looking to do just that, don’t walk RUN and book your session at @saunaphl

A few things I’ve learned:

💓💓 Heat helps your body release tension it’s been holding onto all day
💓💓 Sitting still (even when it’s uncomfortable) trains your mind to slow down instead of constantly react
💓💓 It forces you to be present… because you literally can’t multitask in that environment

It’s not about the sweat.
It’s about the stillness.

In a world where we’re constantly overstimulated,
having a space where you can just be, no phone, no noise, no expectations is powerful for your mental health.

It’s not always easy to sit with your thoughts.
But sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
