全球兒童青少年粵文徵文 Global Cantonese Writing Initiative for Youth 15-18歲 / 15-18 year-old 亞軍 / Runner-up 《嗰次，我先真正睇透妳》 作者 / Author : 何枼茈 地區 / Region : 廣東-珠海 Zhuhai, Guangdong 嗰日熱頭曬到㷫烚烚，好多人都掗喺成績榜前面。

全球兒童青少年粵文徵文 Global Cantonese Writing Initiative for Youth 5–9歲 / 5-9 year-old 亞軍 / Runner-Up 《粉紅色水壺跟媽媽嘅生活》 作者 / Author︰Lara Morris 地區 / Region︰倫敦 / London 學校 / School︰@butehousepreparatoryschool 語言學校 / Language School : @r.s.cantonese 喺澳洲嘅夏天，一個粉紅色水壺好口渴。

全球兒童青少年粵文徵文 Global Cantonese Writing Initiative for Youth 15–18歲 / 15-18 year-old 亞軍 / Runner-Up 我嘅兒時夢想係做一位作家 作者 / Author︰Emily Lee Tsoi Yi 地區 / Region︰香港 / Hong Kong 學校 / School︰@thechineseuniversityofhongkong 阿媽：「你記唔記得你細個想做一個作家呀？」

Does 繃不住 (pang⁵⁵ pat⁵ tsyu²²) sound weird if you read it in Cantonese? What do you think? Leave a comment and let’s discuss. Personally, I would say "頂唔順" (ting³⁵ m²¹ seon²²), or "忍唔住" (jan³⁵ m²¹ tsyu²²). "unable to bear" in Cantonese 「繃不住」廣府話怎麼說？ 繃不住 (pang⁵⁵ pat⁵ tsyu²²) × 頂唔順 (ting³⁵ m²¹ seon²²) ✓ 忍唔住 (jan³⁵ m²¹ tsyu²²) ✓ "Profanity" is called "臭話" (tshau³³ waa²²) in Malaysin Cantonese, which is directly translated as "smelly speech". Hong Kong people refer to it as "粗口" (tshou⁵⁵ hau³⁵).
