Some ciders on our roof 🍂

Out at Sawaan Thai in Midtown with some friends.

This was their seasonal drink “Sleeping Beauty”

Chive pancakes and fried calamari

Some verrrrry spicy but delicious curry baby back ribs with rice

Then went around the corner to The Westbury for drinks. This is their version of a pornstar martini (The Lord & Taylor) 😋

Had to try their Chica Chica Martini (espresso martini w peanut butter tequila) and I was pleasantly surprised. Tasted like a Reese’s cup

(Not pictured are the random fries and buffalo chicken egg rolls we drunkenly ordered and my singular garlic knot on the walk home)

Softshell crab curry was super rich and decadent! Tasted so good on a bed of rice 🫣🍚

Mock duck texture and flavor was pretty good for a vegetarian dish & my friend really enjoyed it :)

Thai tea was good without being too sweet. I love still being able to taste the tea

Started with steaming Seafood Tom Yum, then papaya salad, Malaysian paratha with korma, Pad See Ew, Pad Kee Mao, Thai fried rice — and finished with ice cream over sticky rice.

They want to keep this a hidden gem, but I’m terrible at keeping a good food spot to myself 🤭🍂

Trading rooftop season for cozy Thai nights at Sawaan Thai, just a block from Bryant Park. Thai food literally never disappoints, and I loved the twists on some of the classics here. Everything was packed with flavor, the space was warm and inviting, and the sweetest staff made the whole experience even better. 🧡

This little spot deserves some attention—and a place on your dinner list.

How is this Thai restaurant still a secret in NYC??? 👀

Found this little hidden gem and now I’m wondering how I’ve lived here this long without knowing about it. The food was SO good and the whole place has that cozy, intimate vibe that makes you immediately want to gatekeep it.
