I’m thrilled to see large outlets like New Republic covering what’s going on here and getting it in front of a broad audience.

Every time I go out of state I’m flabbergasted that people have no idea how bad it is here. I worry because, even though they’re currently blue states, this could very well be their future.

Happy FREAKING new year guys

I can’t say 2025 didn’t beat me to an absolute pulp, nor can I say that there’s been a day that goes by without me missing Storm, but I am here and I made it and I’m so grateful to everyone in my life for dragging me to the finish line of 2025.

I got in the gym, made three comics, played rugby, became a furry and fursuit maker, got back into cosplay in a big way, passed my first sem classes, became ruler of the earth and met the loveliest boy.

If you’re not pictured you’re just as important to me. Arthur, Kennis, Collin, my cosplay friends, my boyfriend’s boyfriend and co, Olivia, my brother, the rugby team, anyone I’ve talked to at all in the last year. All of you. I love you and keep going.

Can you believe the Eve Devitt Fund will be three years old this spring?

EDF was founded in 2023 to aid Idaho trans and non-binary youth after the state banned gender-affirming care for minors. We provide easy-access mutual aid funds for travel costs to receive gender-affirming care out-of-state, scholarships to human rights activists in high school, and microgrants for grassroots youth human rights organizing and queer community building.

The Fund is named in honor of Eve Devitt, an Idaho human rights activist who refuses to back down in the fight for trans visibility, inclusion, and care. Eve is an actress and poet studying acting at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy. For years, she and her family have led the charge to defend trans rights in Idaho, organizing rallies, meeting with lawmakers, and testifying at the legislature. Eve answers hate and bigotry with love and resilience and helped to build a community statewide to spread the message to LGBTQ+ youth: you are loved and welcome here.

Lauren is a junior at BSU studying . She is passionate about advocating for human rights and environmental conservation alongside her peers.

Phoenix is a senior at University of Portland studying music and secondary education. He advocated for transgender rights for youth in Idaho, speaking to legislators, engaging with news outlets, and speaking at rallies. He has found a passion also working for diversity in western classical music.

Shiva is a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill studying political science, and a leading youth organizer in Idaho. He hopes to build a democracy and world where everyone has the opportunities and support they need to succeed.

Scar is the newest member to the board of EDF, and is an alumni of EDF's advocacy scholarship. A sophomore at BSU, Scar has had several op-eds published in works such as the Advocate, Out Magazine, and GLSEN.

Thank you for those that have been here from the start, and welcome all newcomers to our organization!

Helmuth Hübener was an LDS teenager in Nazi Germany. He illegally listened to radio channels from the Allied forces, such as the BBC, and translated them. He distributed these translations and other anti-Nazi propaganda throughout Nazi Germany.

He noticed that the German state-approved media told a very different story than any other country's journalists, and wanted to help the German people break free from the propaganda they'd been fed.

For this, he was tortured and beheaded.

I strongly encourage you to read his story, as well as the stories of the White Rose resistance fighters 🌹
