A month ago, I had a stroke that has left me needing to have brain surgery to correct the issue. As part of the surgery, I need to have a patch of my head shaved. Instead of waiting for the surgery, I have decided to go ahead and shave my whole head, and donate the hair to The Little Princess Trust.
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as Alopecia.
The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.
The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
As part of this, I'm also running a fundraiser to help with the costs of getting the wig made (£550) and a fitting session (£150). Anything you can give will help, if you can't donate please share this with people you know.

@renaissance_alternative_music Tomorrow at 3.45pm at 229 Great Portland Street (just outside Great Portland Street Station)

- 26 metal/goth/industrial/rock/prog/experimental/electronic/acoustic bands/solo acts on 3 separate stages (no clashes on main 2 stages)
- 6 art exhibitions
- 4 DJs
- chess club
- retro videogames
- poetry corner

I am one of the solo acts playing a rare improvised set on the classic guitar at 7pm on the Archer Stage.

Initially, my band @sceptocrypt was also billed to play the main RAM stage, but we sadly had to pull out as our drummer suffered a stroke last Saturday.
He will not be able to play till earliest January, so this will be my last live appearance until sometime next year.

If interested to come support, but mostly to have a good vibe, all info (& cheaper advance tix up until tonight) are available from link in bio!

Thanks

⛓️ THE MEDEA PROJECT TONIGHT ⛓️

@themedeaproject - The name, The Medea Project, was first heard on the east coast of South Africa when a group of talented young musicians made a briefly brilliant impact on a staid and unready music scene, dazzling and intriguing before quietly imploding. Their self titled, three track EP captures the unique magic of their sound; the diverse, brooding intertwining of gothic and metal that had captured hearts on two continents. Soulful, melancholic, raw and heavy, these songs conjured shadows and taught the dead to dance.
FFO: Darkthrone, My Dying Bride, Fields of the Nephilim

@_riverbanduk - Formed in 1999, The River have sought to carve out their own tiny corner of the world, initially juxtaposing incredible weight and density of sound with delicate, gossamer vocal melodies. As the years have passed their music has grown from their deep & rumbling foundations, blossoming into a multi textured sound that paints with broader strokes & a wider array of colours without sacrificing the integrity of their earlier doom metal roots.
FFO: Anathema, 40 Watt Sun, The Gathering

@sceptocrypt - Consistenly inconsistent, their extreme music sound researches ways how to secretly & seamlessly infuse latin jazz, avant-garde classic, horror soundscapes, flamenco, reggae and more into one conundrum of experimental extreme metal that one can headbang to even if no fucks are given of the non-metal influences.
FFO: Sceptocrypt, Sceptocrypt and Sceptocrypt

The ritual is complete...

Formed in Malta in 1992, praised internationally for its progressive, genre-defying approach, Sceptocrypt has revived in recent years in UK with new music, and a renewed line-up. Sceptocrypt now defines its sound as Extreme Music Research—an uncompromising blend of technicality, experimentation, and artistic expression. With a new full-length album in development, the journey continues.
