This edition of Air-Conditioned celebrates melodic Power-Pop/Rock with some great tracks courtesy of The Beatles, Dwight Twilley Band, Smithereens, Bangles, Tommy Keene, Adrian Belew, XTC, and The Wonders, who are fresh off the stage in Tom Hanks’s cinematic 60s pop-music love letter, That Thing You Do. In addition to those groovy acts, we have The Beat, The Spongetones, Cotton Mather, Randy VanWarmer, Warren Pash, and Murray Attaway, who was the leader of the great 80s Georgia-based band Guadalcanal Diary. Kicking off this episode is The Move from their romping masterpiece Shazam. Oh Yeah!!Fun! Fun!! Fun!!!
