Murran Kain, Christopher James Baker and Jack LaTorre in “In Absence.”

I’m finally allowed to share and announce In Absence, a film that I am eternally grateful to have been cast in, that started so much for me, is now available to watch on Beyond The Short. Link in my bio.

3 wins and 9 nominations at prestigious festivals around the world. The actors, the score, the cinematography… everything about this film is incredible, and I’m so proud to be a part of it.

There are a few of my scenes that aren’t featured in the final cut, but I got to work one on one with Jack LaTorre. All I can say is this kid is a star, and I cannot wait for people to see him take off. What an experience it was to work with such powerhouse actors like Christopher James Baker and Ron Kelly too.

Thank you @mcsweeneynewmancasting.

Congratulations @paulnevison, @bjorn_amundsen_dp, and the rest of the cast and crew.

Also, everyone needs to know that @paulnevison is one of the most talented (and genuinely humble) creatives I’ve ever worked with. I’ve been saying it since the first read of the script, and then working with him as a director… I KNOW he’s going to hit the big time one day. Calling it here so I can say I told you so when it happens.

Please go watch and let us know what you think xx

What a wonderful night, coming together to watch In Absence with this amazing cast and crew. This film had us crying, laughing, ending with a standing ovation for the one and only @paulnevison.

From a self-tape, to being cast in a project that I feel so proud to be part of, what a spectacular few months it’s been.

That’s a wrap on “The Family”.

My heart is full and I’m incredibly grateful for a passionate cast + crew that came together to take an ambitious swing at a soulful story.

Thanks for the support of my @13co_collective family @roydegiorgio @charitydowning and my shadow for the past few months @isobel_jones_ who produced her brains out on this one! @samueldunstan for plugging all the gaps and @amusedtodeath75 for keeping the trains running on time.

Thank you to a dedicated cast @christopher_james_baker #JackLatorre #RonKelly @murrankain #MayL whose performances were full of truth and deep emotion. You all made me cry at least once, so I think that’s a good sign. Thankyou @ellie_popov for being the child whisperer and a wonderful support to our young actors.

And the other 2/3rds of my creative visual brain @bjorn_amundsen_dp + @calebware who crafted beautiful frames with the help of a super sharp camera team (@josh_bailey_camera , @kdamour.film , @sarah.stone.23 , Lachlans x2, Rachel)

Thankyou to @jessicarlawry Joel, Adele + Ginnie who worked miracles with Art Dept in the shortest prep time imaginable.

@jamiefodor for going the extra mile on wardrobe and @taylor.scot for HMU and prosthetic wizardry and an eagle conti eye!

Thanks to PJ, Dan, Matt, Felix that gave us incredible light.

Reece and Alistair for helping us get the camera in the right places….love them offsets!

Damon for sound but mostly the dad jokes ;-)

@melo_keating for keeping us fed and watered and a friendly smile at all times.
@elliotwith2ts for the killer BTS 📷

I didn’t want to make a list as I will inevitably miss someone important off it …. But there it is.
Finally thanks to my beautiful wife @tashnevison for letting me blow our savings on a film and my wonderful girls Georgia and Scarlett 💚💚💚💚
