Another trip around the ☀️ for this guy! And what a year it’s been. Among so many other things, he published his book (check out @cascadehighbook ) which captures not just his incredible photography, but his talent as a writer, too. Starting off this trip around the ☀️ with larches and baked goods—if day one is any indicator, the next 364 are going to be pretty stellar. 😘

💛 Happy birthday, @scott_kranz ! 💛

Still thinking about this Vermont trip and how special the entire experience was. 🤎✨

A 4-hour trip from NYC, early mornings, long shoot days, and some of the most dreamy locations made every moment worth it. From the second we arrived, we were taken such great care of — amazing food, beautiful accommodations, and a huge team working behind the scenes to make everything come together so seamlessly.

We stayed at the Treehouse at Spruce Peak in Stowe, Vermont, and honestly… the entire setting felt like something out of a movie. 🌲🏔️ Getting to wake up surrounded by that scenery and then create with such a talented, professional team was truly a blessing.

There are always so many people behind every final image — production, photo, glam, styling, assistants, talent and everyone making sure the smallest details are taken care of. I’m so grateful to have been a part of this Kando trip with @bluepixelcreates @sonyalpha and to walk away with not only beautiful images, but memories I’ll have for a lifetime. 📸✨

I tried to tag everyone who helped make this experience what it was, but I’m sure I missed someone! If I did, please let me know in the comments or DM me so I can make sure you’re tagged. 🤍

Feeling very blessed for the places this career continues to take me and the people I get to meet along the way.

A stranger halfway across the world opened 2 doors for me: one to her home, and one I never could’ve imagined.

6 months ago, I kept seeing Switzerland on my screen and wishing I could go, but it’s one of the most expensive and beautiful countries in the world, and if I ever made it there, I’d probably only be able to spend a few days sightseeing.

i didnt want that, I wanted to live alongside the people who live their ordinary lives there, to see Switzerland not as a destination but as someone’s home. To learn from a real family, another culture, another way of living.

Never did I expect that 2 months later, a world-class mountain guide @carolinewaregeorge would be hosting me in her chalet in the Alps for almost 3 months. But that really isn’t the best part.

When I was in the kitchen at 2am here in Malaysia, I received a message from her asking if I’d like to shoot for @hyperlite_mountain_gear in front of Mont Blanc, with world-renowned photographer @scott_kranz

This isn’t what was so special about it either. It’s that she believed in me before we even met. She put my name forward for the shoot before I even arrived, and trusted me so wholeheartedly to open up not just her home, but to her daughter, her family, her life.

I didn’t even have proper mountain gear for a shoot like this. I just applied without ever imagining it would actually happen. So she opened her wardrobe to me too 😂 FIVE outfits to choose from, gloves, and whatever else I might need.

I’m still an amateur in the commercial talent industry, but because of her, I came back with my first ever international shoot, in front of Mont Blanc of all places.

But what I’ll remember most is the person behind it. Someone I met as a stranger gave me a glimpse of how generous people can be, how beautiful it is when someone chooses to believe in you, help you, without expecting anything in return.

Sometimes, no matter how hard you work, the right person can save you years of trying to get somewhere on your own. Thank you @carolinewaregeorge for being that person for me. and to @workawayinfo , for leading me to someone I never could have found on my own🇨🇭❤️

It’s National Park Week! 🤍

For the next nine days, we’re celebrating the national parks that safeguard some of the wildest and most wonder-filled places in Washington: @mountrainiernps, @ncascadesnps, and @olympic_nps — and all the incredible supporters in our community who help keep them thriving.

Some mornings remind you exactly why these places are worth protecting. Thanks to WNPF partner @scott_kranz for sharing this incredible sunrise. ✨

Reminiscing from a couple years ago when I went to a photography workshop with @scott_kranz in the North Cascades I was already really confident in how to use my camera, but I was amazed at how much I was still able to learn and grow with Scott’s guidance, and learning from other talented photographers in the workshop. This workshop was a pivotal moment in my photography journey, and how to work with light and rapidly changing conditions, how to plan shoots better, and how to improve my editing techniques. I can’t recommend Scott’s workshops enough. Never stop learning and growing.
