Meet Our First Executive Board! 🚨

One thing I’ve realized is that doing this kind of work is heavy and it requires strong support. I’m incredibly proud to present the 2025–2026 Leaders in Training Executive Team, made up of nine exceptional students from NC A&T!

These students aren’t just mentors — they’re leaders in SGA, fraternities, nonprofits, and more. We’ve got future engineers, teachers, executives, and entrepreneurs on this team. They go above and beyond in everything they do.

What makes me most proud is that after serving last semester, they chose to keep going. They believed in the vision and wanted to grow the impact — and that’s how our first-ever e-board was born.

Help me celebrate these changemakers and the bright future they represent! 💪🏾🔥

I created Leaders in Training because I know what it feels like to grow up without a father… and to have a mother who suffered from addiction… I know what its like to carry trauma in silence.

But I also know what it feels like to be loved, guided, and covered by a praying grandmother who gave me structure, direction, and hope when I had none.

Check out part 3 of "What Black Men Want You to Know About Mental Health." A very interesting discussion on topics about about how knowing your purpose, the importance of seeking out help, as well as challenges Black male educators face in the education systems affect mental health. Special thanks to BRIDGE Board Members @muatanowe Brian Payne @regileak Reginald Leak and @scottiejack4 Scottie Jackson for their participation! Please share with others!

Challenge accepted my guys ✊🏽 I am a BLACK MAN!..... I build, I don't tear down other MEN! I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided I will be deliberate about building others! If I didn't tag you, please don't be offended. I tried to pick people I thought would do this challenge!! All too often, we men find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let's do something positive!

Upload 1 picture of yourself...ONLY you. Then tag as many brothers to do the same. Let's build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down.

If I tagged you, don't disappoint me!!✌🏾
