32 Miles around MANHATTAN 🗽 How’d it go last week?… Got lost. MULTIPLE TIMES. 🗺️❌ Phone died. GPS GONE. 📱⚰️ Watch died. No tracking. No backup communication. ⌚️💀 A BEE STING TO THE ASS NEAR CHELSEA PIERS. 🐝🍑 At this point, Manhattan wasn’t a running route… it was a personal attack. 😂 But somehow, someway… STILL racked up all 32 MILES. 🏃‍♂️🔥 No GPS. No Data. NO PROBLEM! Turns out the only thing that needs to keep going, is YOU! Shoutout to @jessrhood and @lululemon for throwing an awesome event! 💯👏🏼♥️ See you next year @racetheperimeter Also… Take a bow @scottschrat and @samschrat My badass friends and fellow under rested parents both ripped 16 mile PR’s around the city and brought me back to life! FASTED WORKOUTS CHANGE WHAT YOU BURN. BUT DO THEY CHANGE WHAT YOU LOSE? During easy aerobic exercise, training fasted shifts the body’s fuel mix away from carbohydrates and toward fat. Over time, selected fasted sessions may help train the body to rely on fat for longer. But using more fat during a workout does not necessarily produce more body-fat loss. And as workout intensity increases, carbohydrates become increasingly important for performance. Men and women may use fuel differently, but current research does not prove that fasted workouts are better for men or worse for women. The intensity and duration of the workout appear to matter more than gender. Fasted training can be a useful tool. The key is knowing when to use it.
