This artwork is now part of the permanent collection of the Zagreb City Museum.

Created with tools I bought in China this summer: a Chinese brush and sumi ink prepared on a Duan inkstone.

First exhibited at @scriptazagreb , the international @calligraphymasters exhibition.

The theme of recently finished creative event @scriptazagreb organised by @lettering_daily and @jimbobernaus was “Change”. So a couple of months back MAX asked me if I want to contribute sth. to the exhibition in the event location (a museum!) during the event. So I did😍.

On pic 2 and 3 you even see the details of this Blackletter gothic-stylished lettering with flourishes. Talking about details, my LIVE talk here from last Thursday with @typetemple comes to my mind. We elaborated on details. Do they need to be precise, do they need to be small?…..But with this piece I wanna add another important role of details. Many artists are using details to give their work a personal touch, some might call it “signature style”. Many artist are adding details which are responsible to recognize the origin of their work for viewers on the spot without the need to look up at their account name.

See, details express also character, and if you want to develop your own style, think about adding some of them🤓.

Keep flourishing🌸

I usually say I'm not very good at finding the words, but I'm much more comfortable writing them.

But the last weekend at @scriptazagreb with the @calligraphymasters crew and so many incredible people truly left me speechless!
🖤🖤🖤

I came back from Zagreb a few days ago, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened - everything we learned from one another, the conversations, the laughter, the countless little moments, and above all, the massive rush of joy I got to share with so many incredibly talented artists. I can still feel that high!

Extremely grateful I also had the chance to finally meet @pascribe and to take workshops with him and @misterkams both of whom I have been following for more than a decade!

I'm absolutely delighted to be part of this huge calligraphic family, and even more so to see it keep growing. There is something quite special about being surrounded by people who understand and share the obsession!

This festival was genuinely transformative for me. "Change" was the theme of the event, but I think I came home changed too - inspired, recharged, and massively energised.

A huge thank you to the wonderful organizers of @scriptazagreb and the City Museum for bringing all of this together - @jimbobernaus @meximuss @lettering_daily

And of course, a massive thank you to everyone who shared this weekend:

The wall @elettr and I painted together at @scriptazagreb 😌

We did not plan to make this wall, but we had this spontaneous idea and freestyled this alphabet 😄 It was soo much fun!!

We call it ✨Casual Blackletter✨

Thanks to @misterkams for helping us out with this beautiful script title at the top 💪 and @ianbarnard for the sick process clips of us haha.

Also shoutout to @written.by.ellie our box-neighbor to our left ☺️🙌

The whole live painting session that night was an absolute blast!!

Pinch me, I must be dreaming! 🤣✨

What a surreal weekend, surrounded by so many artists I’ve admired for years. Three days of witnessing their passion and love for what they do. Seeing them create right in front of me was such a gift. I still can’t believe I got to talk to them, learn from them, take their classes, laugh with them, and even share hugs. 🥹💖

An unforgettable experience that I’ll carry with me in both my heart and mind. I’m leaving feeling inspired, recharged, and even more excited to keep creating and sharing what I love most: calligraphy and lettering. ☺️💖✍🏻

Thank you @jimbobernaus and Max from @lettering_daily for bringing us all together and creating this amazing space @scriptazagreb

I truly hope this happens again and that it takes us all around the world! 🌎✨

Some relationships mature right alongside our art.

I used to look at the people creating there from the perspective of someone just absorbing knowledge and searching for their own path.
Today, I have the honor of calling them my friends.

It is an incredible feeling when former authorities become part of your everyday artistic journey, and shared conversations and the exchange of experiences bring a whole new quality to what I do.

The energy of this place, the craftsmanship, and the uncompromising passion of the creators gathered there drive me forward for months to come.

Huge thanks to each and every one of you – for every kind word, every moment spent together at the table, and for this unique atmosphere. People are what make this craft, and with people like this, you can move mountains.

See you all again soon in this circle – I hope we will be getting together much more often.
