❤️‍🔥🌺Kona 2026🌋❤️‍🔥
Another World Championship in the books. Together.
We’ve been waiting 4 years to claim our slots and race Kona once again. Together.
As expected, the island didn’t disappoint—offering up a tough, brutal, yet undeniably beautiful race!
So happy we could be here and get properly beat up once again!
Huge thanks to our coach, @pawel_janiak, who bravely guides us through this triathlon adventure of ours. We hope we’re still giving you a bit of a thrill ;)
A big thank you to our amazing Team - Rōka Standard Racing, and to all of our sponsors, especially Rōka Multisport, Trek (Mark Andrews), and Enve!

Two more sleeps till go time…

Today was about having fun, connecting with old friends, and soaking up a bit of the “KONA” energy.

It’s amazing to be here with such an inspiring group of individuals that make up RŌKA STNDRD Racing, and I’m excited to see each and every one out there on course, plus all the family, friends and RŌKA Multisport staff pumping us up along the way!

IM JAX - my mentally the most difficult IRONMAN!

Note to myself - WE DO NOT DRINK WATER WHILE SWIMMING! - especially when this water is salty! - special attractions on the bike are not worth it 🥴🤢🤮🤪. Not dropping out on the bike instead running marathon of it - wasn’t easy, but no one said it would be 😎

The event itself - GREAT! Everything! The course - demanding (entire bike - without a moment of rest; running definitely not flat), conditions - difficult (sun, temperature, humidity), other than that, organization, support, volunteers, spectators - just great!

@roka_stndrd_racing — thank you for letting me be part of this amazing team! @jensylva, @wendyfejfar, @intheair328 , @mattydtri — fantastic job! @se_borowik , @arichardson87, @ahappypace, @johnrichardsonfl — thank you for taking care of us on the course and for all the encouragement! You are incredible!!!

My husband, this time in the role of Sherpa, performed at 120%! To everyone who cheered for me — thank you so much. I truly felt your support out on the course, and Sebastian kept passing along your messages to me during the run! It really helps!

Coach @pawel_janiak — as requested, finishing on #2 😘 - thank you for believing in me 😎

Wendy and Jef — thank you so much for heaving us and helping us get everything organized before the race. You are wonderful!

Ironman Jax 2026 was not the race I had envisioned. It was an add-on because being a hometown race I convinced @intheair328 we HAD to do it. I trained through the winter with the goal of executing a good race and lay a foundation for my Kona build.

Everything went really well and I felt fit & strong…until a week and half ago. My left knee swelled up on a Thursday afternoon. I was able to get an MRI quickly and diagnosed with cyst rupture causing the swelling & pain. My doc gave me the OK to participate but made me promise to stop if I had pain. So I only swam in the week leading up “hoping” I would be able to start. Good news is my knee wasn’t a problem. Bad news the stress leading up to the race + the heat of the day made me shut things down halfway through the bike and I went into survival mode on the run.

I made it to the finish line. I gave all my energy to my teammates who are so impressive and can’t wait for Kona with @jensylva & @joanna_1304 🌺. The support from our cheer squad was amazing and it was so much fun to cheer on friends -old & new- on a tough day! And to @intheair328 - I know your day was worse than mine but I love that we both knew an ice cream date would help 😊

#nomedalmonday - Unfortunately Ironman Jacksonville did not go the way I had hoped and trained for…I ended up having to drop out around mile 19 of the run, where I was transported to the med-tent and spent almost two hours getting back to some form of normalcy.

Over the years, I have had plenty of “blow-ups” and had to slowdown considerably, but never questioned getting to the finish line. However, on Saturday I became nauseous and dizzy around mile 15, and eventually couldn’t walk straight, nor get calories or fluid down. I literally sat on the side of the rode twice trying to reset and felt worse getting going again each time.

I know it was the right call, but it still hurts a bit mentally. Thank you to the volunteers at the aid station who helped me make the call and get back safely.

Even with my DNF, the weekend was not a loss. I had an amazing time hanging out with and supporting my team-mates, and seeing so many local friends and neighbors both racing and out along the course cheering! Having an Ironman in your hometown is definitely something amazing!

I feel surprisingly well now, but will give a couple days to reset and recover, because the remainder of the season is just starting!

A special shoutout and congrats to ROKA STNDRD Racing’s @jensylva for an all-around strong performance, breaking the tape as the fastest female out there! 💪
