**Location in Caption** Can you believe this beach faced devastation to own this title? Why? People who want to bask in the beauty flood to the area on holiday leaving trails of trash for the local community to pickup, but that community is only made up of 140 residents😬. This behavior damages fragile ecosystems and provides a sad steady reminder to be courteous of all natural spaces - leave no trash behind, pickup trash you see (even it’s not yours), leave fragrances/deodorants at home, and only use a natural SPF especially if you plan to dip in the water here at 📍Hyams Beach 🌊 . . . #whitesands #whitesandbeach #perfectbeaches #plasticpirate #seabee #coastalcustodian #beachcleanup

A few weeks ago, a jacket washed up on the beach and telling by the amount of sand and sea life attached it had spent a good amount of time on the sea floor. To our amazement the jacket was actually in good condition. No rust, or significant wear, and even the zippers still worked. Turns out it is a @moncler who’s jackets range from $700-$2000+. Just another example of why craftsmanship is the key to sustainability.

At the beginning of June, we celebrated World Ocean and World Environment Day in style with an underwater blitz! Together with @immersiafreediving and @seabees.aus we collected over 15kgs of rubbish out of Manly Cove including 4 bikes and 3 shopping trolleys. We’ll be back in the cove on the 2nd of July to do it all again with @eco.adventure.crew and @ausmap_au - though we hope there will be less trash this time!

Happy World Environment Day from our slice of the world to yours 💚💙 Yesterday, we spent the morning giving Manly Cove a lot of love both on the shore and in the sea. In the sea alone we removed 15.4kgs of trash along with 4 shopping trolleys, 3 bikes and 3 corflute signs which could not be weighed. We are so privileged to live so close to a thriving ocean environment, but also one that unfortunately is subject to regular plastic pollution. We do what we can but always advocate for the community to do their best to act on the daily too. What’s something you can do to show the environment some love today? 🩵 📸 @the.mattjohnson
