COMMUNITY SHOUTOUT

@seagullrunning

The man, the myth, the legend - seagull

When I first started run.metal one of the first people to not only follow me but communicate was Seagull. We bonded over some of our favorite music, which was heavy metal. Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc we discussed it and shared opinions.

We both also share a love and passion for running and what its done for us. His journey started in 2013 with the goal to drop some weight. That’s still a goal but running is what’s keeping him alive. He’s achieved runs as far as 104km with goals to push even further.

If you want to follow someone positive in a community where being authentic is a rarity give this man a follow. You’ll find him bringing positivity to Instagram and YouTube. He won’t be hard to miss, look for the purple and gold Los Angeles Lakers Shorts.

We've been reflecting on our 7-day air pollution challenge - take a look at some of our favourite moments from the Clean Air Crowd!

Last week, we brought together people from all over the UK to take seven simple actions that raise awareness of the impacts of air pollution.

From sharing flyers in cafes to rethinking their short car trips, to having conversations at the school gate and responding to the government’s wood burning consultation, they smashed it!

Thank you to everyone who joined the challenge. Let’s keep the conversation going and keep standing up for clean air.

If you want to hear more about this, you can join our March monthly volunteer meeting. It’s next Tuesday 17th at 8:15pm on Zoom, and the link is in our bio.

Nada como recibir un vídeo especial de un amigo especial. Dicen que las distancias se hacen cortas , sobre todo cuando hay personas íntegras y transparentes, únicas y especiales. @seagullrunning es una, al igual que @jindio1971 y @delcastillotrail

Kent Backyard Ultra Series 25/26 – Event Two | Dover
Event Two asked serious questions.
A one-hour delayed mass start after a storm passed through the day before.
Freezing temperatures through the first night.
Another full day on the course.
Then back into the dark, where every decision started to matter.
Nine images. One unfolding story.
From the mass start to the moment the Last Person Standing was finally declared.
Same distance. Same rules. Same clock.
Each hour, the choice is simple. Step back out, or stop.
You decide your story. Earned, not given.

This morning started with a little walk around Paddlesworth - it was frosty when I first arrived and it looked like there had been a small flurry of snow overnight. It was lovely to be out in the cold sunshine, walking the same routes I was running this time last year. It's one of my favourite to places to run around as I have clocked up so many wonderful memories and miles over the years 🫶

I stopped by to see my parents and Biggie for a cup of tea on my way home - always feel so thankful to live near by so I pop in and see them!

This evening @hellfire.ryan, @seagullrunning, @syla_from_folkey, @run.with.will and Poppy came round for a little pizza hang out night which was super lush. Poppy tried every which way to get a small slice of pizza 🤣 Only a week until the @hellfire.events.official Farthingloe Backyard Ultra - very exciting and looking forward to cheering everyone on for just one more lap 🔥
