A week out and recovered from @gobeyondracing Mountain Lakes 💯 and I’ve finally had the chance to process what was just accomplished.
•
After literal years of peaks and training for this distance, only to be let down by fires and cancellations, it feels indescribable to finally put this in the bank as my 100 mile debut. Sub24 is just a cherry on top of an already sweet weekend.
•
Spent 70 miles of trail with my brother from another mother @noahgoodwintraining , working through every curveball that was thrown our way.
Exactly how we trained for it over countless hours, days and weeks. More on that later but I wouldn’t have had it any other way! 🫂
•
All in all, I had an amazing day/night! Not one shoe adjustment or change all day. Thank you @runspeedland as always. No foot pain or issues for 23 hours says everything!
As usual, @pathprojects kept me beyond comfortable and worry free during the big temp swings. More on these choices later but in one word, “LOMOND!” iykyk

Most importantly, to my tribe, my crew, my people… This would not have been possible without everyone of you! It takes a village… actually it takes more than that and you all went well above and beyond. Endlessly Grateful and I LOVE you every single one of you!!🙏🏼

Had the honor and pleasure this past weekend of crewing friends as they raced the Mountain Lakes 100 by @gobeyondracing.

It’s hard for me to put into words how much it meant for me and my family to be there, to be trusted to support and help push our friends to finish.

So I made a little “movie” of some of my favorite moments!

What I can say is these are memories I will cherish my entire life. 🫶

Ran with and watched Noah an impressive amount of grit and determination to get his sub 24 hr buckle

August 20th - a day spent completely outdoors.
Ended up working with TKO at Angels rest to clean up the overgrown brush, logging my required trail work to enter races for the remainder of 2026 and into 2027.
It was a great experience and had fun cleaning up a trail that I actually love to run myself.
At the end of the trail work session I checked my email and saw that my name had been pulled off the Mountain Lakes wait list, how fitting.
4 weeks out, 5 weeks removed from Devils Gulch.
Looking forward to running a 100 miles again and chasing my 5th buckle.
Thank you to my buddy @speedland_chris for picking me up and doing the trail work and run with me. Now let’s hope your name gets pulled too 🤝

How lucky am I that my friends stepped up before my name was even drawn and locked in my crew and pacer for the race 😎 lets go boys 🐐

S/O to my wife @makpayne_ for letting me do this one and wanting to ride along even though she will be 8 months pregnant at the start of the race ❤️ i love you babe

congrats to all runners who participated in hood 100!

today comes with so much celebration and also some sadness as the wildfires required the race to come to an early end. sending positive vibes to everyone’s safety and well being.

badwater 135 was our first tracked race, however, hood 100 was our first time to engage with racers, families, and crew on the ground. we thank all of you for your support, kind words, and feedback for future races 🫂

Race Week.
3 years of consistent training have lead me up to this point.
Saturday I toe the line of Devils Gulch 100 miler by @evergreentrail 100 miles over 20,000ft of gain in the hot mountains of Wenatchee Wa.
There’s no expectations going into this, just one goal, finish.
This year I focused on quality of miles instead of quantity, spending lots of time on the trails with new and old friends.
Thank you to all my training partners who decided 30+ min drives and lots of vert was worth it to hang out with me for a few hours🤝❤️
Thank you to @runspeedland for supplying me with the shoes to do the thing I love.
Thank you to @blanks_sports_nutrition for keeping me fueled.
Thank you to @creeperssocks for keeping me blister free.
Can’t wait for the challenge on this one.
I’d also like to mention how proud I am of @eli_shreves for deciding to do this one as his first 100, it takes courage to go to the unknown and we’ll do it together 🤝🐐

A group of 30+ runners took to the mountain to challenge themselves, on a 90+ degree day with 4-8k of gain on some unmaintained trails. Some new members, some old but everyone ended the day as friends & better trail runners.
We raised money to support @warriortrailfoundation but also our own fund to support local runners with our aid stations.
FatBoy isn’t about keeping a closed circle, it’s about letting everyone join in❤️ Thank you to everyone who came and those who continue the support 🤝
