Underground music & culture (LA x CLE) Producer of iconic MONDAY NIGHTS

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Karen Centerfold RIP. I first encountered her at the anti-Iraq war protests in Hollywood in 2003. She was leading the black clad Antifa kids against the LAPD/SWAT pigs like Marianne leading the French revolutionaries. Later, Karen would become a Monday Nights fixture (DM me & buy my book for a full complement of Centerfold pics). She was also the bane of my existence. Last summer she showed up at my gallery opening and attempted to kill the gallery owner with her car. Aye aye aye.

Despite—or because of—all the chaos, I’ve always liked Karen. She was firmly on the side of the agitators. She said: Don’t be a buffoon. Don’t be square. Life is rock ‘n’ roll. Grab the mic and put on a groovy show. See you at the giant Venice drum circle in heaven. 🌹🥀

UK photo dump! 🇬🇧 I’m so grateful to have had such an incredible vacation with my bestie @hostilerabbits 🎄 London knows how to celebrate a proper secular Christmas 🎅🏼 There were lights & shoppers & lots of yummy treats. 👕I got to try on Issey Miyake old (like the famed 3-arm sweater!) and new. 📖 Books & art & antiques & music abounded 🎨 Pastries & foods covered in pastry & veggie delights of all kind (mushy peas!) filled our tummies. 🫛 Until next time! 🇬🇧 #perfectvacation #ilovelondon #godsavetheking👑
