Before the first umbrella went up, there was the design.

Casa Coldon Beach Club was my daughter’s chance to meet our friends and family in Saint Louis, and the most fun I’ve ever had designing. I wanted it relaxed yet playful, and intentional for kids and adults alike. Every detail began as a mockup: the welcome sign, a Surf Shop with a named bag for every little guest, a juice bar with drinks named in Aboriginal language, and the Mirlimirli water station, honoring the Banjima word for water. Those words are part of my daughter’s culture, and weaving them in meant so much to me.

A wedding designed to feel romantic, moody and completely unexpected. Deep reds, soft greens, dramatic velvet draping and layers upon layers of candlelight. Every detail had its moment, but together? Magic. One of our favorite moments, the floral meadow flowing between these serpentine tables.

I think we’re all tired of the fake, so I want to be real with you.

Integrity and trust are so important to me, and when I get messages about how glamorous my life looks, I want to share a little of what you don’t see.

People tell me I should be proud of what I’ve built. And I am. But honestly, I spend a lot more time worrying about keeping it all going than appreciating how far I’ve come.

Running two businesses has given me so much to be grateful for. It’s also taught me that loving what you do doesn’t automatically mean you’ve built a life that feels good every single day.

There’s always an email to answer, a bill to pay, something to fix. I’ll pull off something I worked really hard on and barely let it sink in before I’m thinking about what I could’ve done better or what I’ll do next.

I want to create beautiful things. Serve people well. Make money. And have enough of myself left at the end of the day to enjoy life.

So yes, there are more ideas coming. Obviously.

But I’m also working on making the everyday part feel better. And giving myself a little credit for what’s already here.

From “I Do” to “Let’s Celebrate!” ✨

Nicole & John’s spring wedding at the St. Louis Art Museum was designed with the guest experience in mind—and cocktail hour on the terrace was the perfect example.

Following their outdoor ceremony, guests stepped seamlessly into sunshine, cocktails, passed bites, colorful umbrellas, custom wedding-date sunglasses, and sunset views. Add in a little spring florals and the grand architecture of the venue, and you have a cocktail hour worth lingering over.
