POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Stop scrolling. This is important. THIS THURSDAY, from 6:00-8:00 at the Great Crossing Auditorium, the Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission will be having public comment on their proposal to regulate AI Data Centers. If passed, this proposal will take the place of our current moratorium in the county, which is set to expire at the end of the year. It claims to protect our community. Instead, it leaves us vulnerable. This County needs you. Even if you do not know much about AI Data Centers, even if you’ve never been to a “political” event before, even if you don’t plan to speak, you being there shows that this issue is important. On slides two and three, there is an info sheet I have prepared that outlines why this ordinance is bad for our County. If you have any questions, ask them in the comments, I am more than happy to answer. I want you there. Our Community needs you there. Our Planning Commission has specifically asked for youth opinions on this matter, and I want them to know just how powerful we are when we show up. Stand up. Use your voice. Defend Scott County. Be there this Thursday.
