Finally got my hands on a couple loaves of locally made bread from @second_rise_bakery and it did not disappoint! I turned the Cinnamon Swirl loaf into breakfast for my family — and had to bring you along for the making, of course!

Sprinkles are from @wellseasonedtable and is made of cane sugar infused with a variety of NC grown and harvested berries. A favorite in our home!

Let me tell you the IMPACT of this thing we call social media…

I met @jessica_the_doula on instagram through mutual friends in the “crunchy” community. She and I have talked online so many times and then all of a sudden she finds a video of my mother in law in my feed and realizes she’s been her neighbor for years! Talk about a small world.

This online friend of mine becomes a doula with @greenvillehomebirthdoulas of which my doula and friend @brittannnieee is also a part of! Jessica invites me to this gathering that @maternabirthco has envisioned women gathering who share a heart for health and wellness but Jesus is the center!

What a blessing it was to gather with mamas to be, new moms, and all these kids! Nearly 60 in attendance- and they had hoped a few would show up. God showed out. Bread was broken, stories were shared, kids played, mamas were served.

Rachael, thank you for opening your home, serving, and being open for the Lord to use you and this vision to bring a community of women who were strangers together!

In case you’re local to the Greenville area (or not, we had some drive over an hour away) and you are longing for a community of like minded women who love Jesus and who are passionate about natural motherhood, you’ll feel right at home at Wholehearted Gathering!

We meet again on November 18th. Send me a message for details!

And let this be a reminder to never underestimate a vision from the Lord and using social media to bring people together!
