In partnership with @sineinstitute, @calgarydirector and @kaisacalgary, we managed to make the Forgotten Island private screening happen this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who watched and celebrated Filipino culture and folklore with us through this film! You could have watched it on your own time, yet you chose to share this moment with us. It was a great experience watching with all of you, and sharing with each other during our talkback portion. It was a pleasure to highlight our community friends @safespace.artists @secondactyyc @filipinos_rising whose crafts and work contribute to the vibrancy of our culture and continue to strengthen our communities. Thank you to our volunteers @lplsc @kayrongcal @angeelusv @arsm_iii @hev.gabbie @grnt_hrld @e.ilax @i.mitchu_ who dedicated their time and energy in making this event smoother, and our photographer/videographer @popdodpop @chrisp.hilario for the amazing contents. Thanks to some of our contributors who bought extra tickets for giveaways/volunteers. @adrian.18xyz @lplsc @michelleannesuva Thanks to the rest of the Kaisa fam! Thanks to our friends and family who shared this event! May we all continue to spread positivity through art, storytelling, and community ! #forgottenisland #calgary
