After hearing amazing things about @secondhandpetsupply on social media, our director Samantha went to go check it out. The owner, Michael, was so welcoming and helpful! Secondhand is a nonprofit like CMCR, and on top of Samantha purchasing some much needed supplies (not pictured), Michael DONATED all of this food and more to our rescue! This truly helps our rescue so much in so many ways, AND we love collaborating with other organizations like this!

Thank you Michael and Secondhand, huge shout out and you'll be seeing much more of us.
*This is open to the public and is a great way to get all things pet supplies that are gently used and affordable - go out and support him. He also accepts donations!*

We had such a BLAST being the launching pad for the Cats of Sunnyside field trip to Division! 🐾✨

A huge thank-you to all the nonprofits who came out to spread awareness, joy, and cheer. We loved having you all be part of the fun! 💕

A special thank-you to Whisper of Whiskers, who you’ll be able to shop with AGAIN at our Holiday Market starting this November! 🎄🐾

Our forever thanks to Cats of Sunnyside for starting this amazing tradition—one filled with so much whimsy, happiness, and sweetness that we practically got a toothache. 😻🦷💕

And thank you to For Paws & Flying Cat Coffee for participating in our fundraising efforts all week long for Second Hand Pet Supply, House of Dreams and Feral Cat Coalition. 🐾☕️

It’s that time of year when our furry friends turn into goblins and ghosts.

Come celebrate with us at Zoom Room. Our annual Doom Room party is our biggest party.

There will be costume contests, bobbing for hot dogs, musical mats and more.

Each dog will receive a custom Doom Room gift as well as a Halloween bucket. Every dog brings treats to put in the other dog’s buckets plus Zoom Room kicks it off with some special gifts from us.

If you are in search of a costume for your dog, check out @secondhandpetsupply. They have lots of great costumes.

Still recovering from the Share Fair, but wanted to give y'all a brief overview and mostly just a gigantic THANK YOU for helping us make it happen.

A few brief stats - We estimated that we:

Fed 250 to 300 people. Thank you @vancouverdirectaction!!

Distributed over 500 pounds of pet food and supplies. (Shoutout to @secondhandpetsupply)

Shared over 200 pounds of clothing.

And so so much more. More details, photos and videos to come.

Also wanted to highlight a few events we're planning in October. Our calendar is chock-full of good stuff from a weekly tea club helping you familiarize yourself with individual herbs to DIY mini Mullein torches, to fire cider, charcuterie board, and candle making workshops and the swaps this month are our game and puzzle swap and the witchy swap (One of our favorites)

printed calendars are available in the shop and if you're willing to distribute throughout the community, we would be so grateful. Check out our website for official dates and sign-ups.

This Friday! We're gathering together to prep supplies for share fair as well as provide details to folks who will be volunteering with us day-of!

This is also our very first Community Membership Gathering! If you joined this - THANK YOU!! We are just one member away from being able to pay for a storage unit so we can continue to accept donations & hand out soooo many goodies during this event.

Potluck details:
If you can only come to this, please do! We'll be assembling first aid kit using donated materials (bandaids, gauze, etc)

If you plan to join us for Share Fair, come to this! We will be going over the map and logistics for our event. This is a great time to learn more, ask questions, and familiarize yourself with the folks who've been working so hard to bring this to Vancouver.

Bring a dish to share if you can. If not, we've got you covered. There will be snacks, alcohol-free bevvies & a small token of our gratitude to take home.
