SO excited to share that CITY's audio book got a tandem release with print/ebook!! The amazing @secretaustinman returns as Orpheus, joined by @lancewest.reads as Fenrir ⚔️🔮 I've always known exactly who I wanted to read for Fenrir so you can only imagine my reaction when Lance said yes 😱 (or maybe you can't l, but it definitely involved incoherent group chat messages and probably my partner thinking I'd stubbed a toe or something 😂).

September 1st is forever and always my favorite day from here on out 🦋

I have just landed in CHINAAAA the day before. I get a dm from @arianavaldiva asking to virtually meet. It’s 15min before I have to leave the hotel for tech. I am SEVERELYYYY jet lagged so I decide to screen record (thinking it also records audio so I’ll know what what said in this meeting because again #jetlagisreal✈️ - lol jokes on me there and truly don’t know what was said still)

I’m so sorry to the hotel staff in Longgang for being the sobbing westerner at the breakfast buffet.

I ran to my room and tried to articulate to the overly enthusiastic cleaning woman that I didn’t need more towels, toilet paper or slippers - through tears.

I called/txted everyone I could before I had to leave and be without WiFi for the next 12hrs! My mom was in the bath 😂

I’m one week into rehearsal now and I still kinda can’t believe it.

Baby Erin, I hope you are proud because I am so proud of you 💖💖💖

At about 1 year of age, I left China to grow up in Boston and have the opportunity to follow my dreams. 24 years later, I got to return to my birth country and perform in a musical. LIKE WHAT!?

I cannot even begin to describe how incredibly lucky I feel. And how much this meant to me.

Thank you to everyone involved. This could not have happened without every single person that worked on this show.

Kennedy is doing okay. She’s got her depression under control, a good job, and a loving wife, Laurel. They’ve even decided to have a baby. But when the couple slams headfirst into the unforgiving world of IVF, they must navigate the chaos of creating life, the inevitability of pain, and the TikTok teen crashing on their couch. Written by Queens-based playwright Jacob Marx Rice, whose work has been produced in over fifteen cities across three continents and honored by the Kennedy Center, the O’Neill, and the Black List, A Thousand Natural Shocks is a funny, moving, and painfully honest look at what happens when creating a family doesn’t go according to plan.

This show was such a joy to work on. The room was always filled with the most positive energy that encouraged exploration and learning. It’s the kind of environment you can often only hope to be able to walk into.

My first stage management project working with @nationalasianartistsproject has come to a close… but not the last! 2026 has a few things left in store for me it seems :)

China trip, Nezha the Musical, part 2 - NYC to China week 1: We rehearsed for 2 weeks at Pearl Studios, freaked out about getting our visas in time, then flew to Hong Kong (I won an upgrade bid to Premium Economy!) and took a bus straight to Shenzhen. We spent the first week in a rehearsal location - our rehearsal hotel had a great breakfast and the rehearsal theater was huge! Mini-marts are everywhere, and so is Nezha (the most popular animated character of all time in China). #nezha #shenzhen #newmusical
