POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I meet so many founders who have vibecoded their way to an MVP and are already out there talking to real people.

AND I love seeing that energy. You have built something tangible, you are getting real world feedback. We love a founder with validation energy!

The challenge usually comes right after that moment.
You have the prototype. You have spoken to early users. You have the momentum. But suddenly have to make decisions, and plan a roadmap, and answers to investor questions.

So what next? How do you make your product investable?

That is where we come in. At @seedablestudio , we help you - founders get clear on your next moves, and turn that initial momentum into a solid product strategy.

We are running a workshop designed specifically to give you that clarity. And we have 2 spots for Oct - Nov.

Comment “clarity” me if you’re interested or share it with a founder who needs it 😉

Every so often in your career, you accept an offer that turns out to be the best decision ever.

Hiring Awen was one of those for me. Today Awen is leaving Seedable Studio. Our first team member to move on in 5 years. A big day for us, a sad for us, because honestly they’re pretty awesome.

It’s hard to capture everything Awen means to us at Seedable, so we put it into a blog post. If you’ve ever worked with us, we’d love for you to take a few minutes to read the story behind it: https://seedable.studio/blogs

🏡Traditional resident surveys are officially broken!!

Let’s be honest, most software used in social housing is boring. (sorry!) Residents deserve digital tools that are engaging, straightforward, and fun to use.

Whether it’s sharing feedback or completing routine tasks, people engage far more when there’s a clear reason to participate (that’s where we come in —> Gaffa)

Gamification turns everyday input into a quick and a rewarding experience while giving housing teams the reliable data they need.

Housing associations out there, would you like to see how rewarded engagement can transform your resident engagement? Let’s talk - Drop me DM or drop a comment below! 🩷

I will be hosting a panel next week at @thecanopicardiff, chatting with three powerhouses in the Welsh creative industry.

This event will be an opportunity to hear some industry insight from the brilliant pannelists following on from the discussions on my creative concept podcast ‘The Morning Shift’, with time to ask any questions.

It is a FREE event and will round up my internship with KLAT Magazine in the beautiful space that is The Canopi. If you are around in Cardiff it would be a joy to see you there… (again, tickets are FREEEEEE, tell a friend to tell a friend)

Back in the UK after spending a week in Berlin.

I loved meeting fresh design leaders from around the world and facilitating workshops around the topic of our times: AI.

To be honest, I did not expect to hear what I heard. We are truly so divided. On one hand, we want to recognise AI as a tool, and it does help us take care of mundane tasks. On the other hand, the pressure to use these tools at all costs is creating real stress, fear, and anxiety.

And I did not like that.

I truly want all design leaders to find their voice, their stance, and their values when it comes to the AI debate. We need to be leading these conversations, not just reacting to them.

The value, the learning, and the sharing that can happen in intimate settings is priceless. I have always believed in the power of community, but this felt different.

Thank you to the second group of brilliant minds who joined me on my workshops.

& to Damian Martone , Angel Poon / @hatchconference for creating such a wonderful vibe and facilitating these important discussions.

A few hard truths. ☕️

I’m often asked what I’m “doing” for International Women’s Day. Well… I’m doing my part by simply existing in an industry where I am still a statistical anomaly.

The reality of being a Black woman founder in the UK:
📊 We represent less than 2% of the tech ecosystem.

🎨 In Creative & UX leadership, we often account for less than 1%.

💰 Over the last decade, we received just 0.02% of total VC funding. (That’s 20p for every £1,000).

Being “the rare one” in the room is not easy. It’s a constant process of validating not just my ideas, but my right to be at the table.

So today, my “celebration” is just getting on with the work. Building @seedablestudio , leading with intention, and making sure I’m not the last “1%” in the room.

To everyone else doing the heavy work of being the “first” or the “only”——— I see you.

Keep going.

I know I usually sit here giving advice to founders about their products. But I am a founder too!!
And building your own thing is a completely different emotional sport.

So… say hello to Bobi. Our beloved blob that supports and rewards our users, tenants, through their repair (and more to come) journeys on Gaffa.

Gaffa, for those who haven’t heard me talk about it endlessly, is a tenant engagement and repairs communication platform for social housing. It is here to gamify what’s usually a dreadful process. It is built around one core belief:
Repairs are not just operational issues. They are human experiences.
Missed appointments, unclear updates, stress, access issues. These moments compound. For tenants and for housing teams.
So we’re designing something different.
Clear reporting.
Progress visibility.
Better communication.
Less friction.
More dignity.
More inclusivity.

We’re at MVP build stage right now.
Which means:
• Hard trade-offs.
• Ruthless prioritisation.
• Saying no to features we love.
• Testing assumptions we were emotionally attached to.
• Realising the “obvious” solution is rarely obvious.
It has already been a hell of a journey.
Validation conversations.
Industry events.
Pushbacks.
Rejections.
Encouragement.

Building your own product humbles you.
It makes you a better advisor.
A sharper strategist.
A more empathetic partner to other founders.
So yes, I will keep giving advice here 🤓
But just know it is coming from someone who is going through the same journey…

✨SMALL TEAMS FOR THE WINS ✨

I’ve been reading a book on AI implementation, and it’s made something really clear to me.
💚Small teams have a huge advantage.💚

At Seedable, our size means we can make decisions on the spot and start implementing them immediately. No long approval chains. No endless decks. Just action.
If we spot a process issue, we flag it, tweak the process, and move on. In real time.

When it comes to our AI culture and introducing new steps into how we work, it can be as simple as running a quick survey or having an honest standup. We gather feedback, analyse it, make a decision, and implement.
Job done!

Big agencies have scale. Small teams have agility. And right now, that agility is everything.

We didn’t take home an award at #walestechnologyawards but it was such a night to remember!

We didn’t take home an award last night but it was still such a night to remember.
Our category was filled with brilliant Welsh start ups, genuinely changing the tech landscape. It was an honour to be amongst them on our first year of business 🌱

A special moment was seeing Avril Lewis receive a surprise award. I met her seven years ago while producing the @technologyconnected site and she has been a real supporter ever since.

Thank you Avril and the team for such a beautiful night ✨
