BIG MEET-UP NUMBER THREE ❤️
WE CRY, WE RISE.

Another lovely conversation from our morning at @districta_gym

This time we caught up with Audrey, who spoke about how fitness — and more recently bodybuilding — has played such an important role in helping her manage her mental health.

Audrey also touched on something really important: seeing training as part of her therapy, but not allowing it to become a way of avoiding difficult emotions.

The gym can give us structure, purpose, confidence and an outlet when things feel heavy. But ultimately, we still need to acknowledge those emotions, talk about them and work through them — rather than simply trying to out-train them.

Thank you so much for sharing so openly with us, Audrey. 🫶

You are a really valued member of our community, and conversations like this are exactly what We Cry, We Rise is all about.

This community is for absolutely anybody reading this. ❤️

If you'd like to join our WhatsApp group, simply DM us your number and we'll pop you in.

Keep your eyes peeled for future meet-ups and events.

SLOBODAN’S STORY — IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY. ❤️‍🔥

For Slobodan, bodybuilding became more than building muscle. It gave him structure where once there had been chaos, fear and violence. It gave him something he could control, something positive to work towards, and lessons that carried into every other area of his life. 🏋️‍♂️🧠

But being physically strong doesn’t mean we always feel mentally strong.

Sometimes we can have the structure, do everything “right” and still wonder why we don’t feel the way we thought we would. Sometimes we feel lonely. Sometimes misunderstood. And sometimes we simply need someone to call. ❤️

That’s why Slobodan joined We Cry, We Rise — for the same reason so many of us have. To help our younger selves. To help make sure someone else has the support, community and number to call that we wish we'd had ourselves. 🤝

Thank you, Slobodan, for sharing your story. 🫶

WE CRY. WE RISE. ❤️‍🔥

This community is for absolutely everybody. No matter how strong you look on the outside, you don't have to carry everything on your own.

All proceeds from our apparel and events go directly to Jigsaw Youth Mental Health. 🧡

NERO’S STORY | WE CRY WE RISE ❤️‍🔥

Nero is a great example of exactly who We Cry We Rise is for. 🫂

Someone willing to speak openly about his mental health, share his experiences and show others that it’s completely normal to do the same. ❤️

A lot of us are doing this for our younger selves — becoming the people we might have needed growing up. And we’re doing it for our friends, our peers and the next generation, so they can see us speaking openly and know:

“I can talk too.” 🗣️❤️

Because no matter how much muscle you carry, how physically strong you are or how strong you might appear from the outside 💪 — we all have mental health, and we can all struggle as we go through life. 🧠

That’s why we’re building a community where we train together, talk together and support each other. 🤝

For our younger selves.
For our friends.
For those coming behind us.

We’re here. You can talk. This is your community. ❤️

WE CRY. WE RISE. TOGETHER. ❤️‍🔥💪
