Grateful for a successful opening night of the @comfiart #DesignAndMuse Season 6 cohort group art show. I’ve been wanting to make my art more accessible for a while now, and building this pilot line of illustrated products has given me the opportunity to create more ways to get my art in the hands of the people. I’m appreciative of friends, family and new faces who came out for the experience. If you weren’t able to make it and would still like to see it and shop, let me know to set up a visit. The work is still up @guardianstudios.atl Thank you to @dionna.collins and the entire cohort! I appreciate the sharing of knowledge and energy we’ve shared collectively over the last few months. #comfiart #designandmuse6 #atlantaartists #ironsharpensiron

This past weeekend, I led my first art instruction session as a @paintlove artist cohort member. My assignment for this session was with @wildernessworks , an amazing organization in the city that works with youth who may be economically disadvantaged. I wanted to provide an opportunity for the students to experience working with my chosen media of charcoal and pastel while creating what I call “vision portraits,” that allow them an outlet to express how they wanted to see themselves at some point in the future using an outline of a human head. They were then able to further personalize their portraits with cut out collage elements. It was fascinating to me to see how the youth engaged with the project through their eyes, and I gained some valuable insights as to how to tweak the instructions for the next group that I work with. Working in charcoal and pastels can get messy, but once you learn how to work the resource, you can end up with a satisfying work of art. Overall, it seems like the youth enjoyed the experience of making art and I look forward to continuing on grow as an instructor and facilitator of these experiences. #paintlove #seejoneswork

It’s always good to come home, and the Urban League is one of my homes. Thank you to the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Young Professionals ( @ulgayp ) for having me as a panelist for tonight’s Art & Advocacy event at @mintatl gallery. I count it an honor and privilege to be able to share my story and perspective on how creatives can and are using their gifts to make an impact, raise awareness, empower movements, and serve as the soundtrack/visual record for the causes we believe in. I hope that something I said resonated with someone in the audience and inspires them with a spark to take positive action. Thank you Advocacy Chair Brian Cornelius and President Crystal Jordan for the opportunity and shout out to my incredible co-panelist, arts educator @iamvlewis Valerie Lewis. #ulgayp #artandadvocacy #atlantaartist

Friends, fam and supporters: I need your feedback! I’ve been accepted as part of the @comfiart Design and Muse 2024 artists cohort, where I will be working to design and develop a suite of products incorporating a series of original works of art by yours truly.

A lot of people enjoy watching @seejoneswork at various events, but I also want to offer more work for you to take home. Please help me with my market research and let me know what kinds of products you’d like to see my work on! Swipe to see some examples.

Comment below! Thanks in advance. I can’t wait to share more with you! #ComfiArt #DesignandMuse6 #seejoneswork

I’m looking forward to being in the building tonight for @AmericanSesh 🛋️
- a thinktank produced by @sluttyveganatl ‘s @pinkycole that brings together entrepreneurs, creatives 9-to-5ers and celebrities to “ideate and collaborate while moving the culture forward” in a space where titles, status and money don’t matter and your mind is your currency.
