A month later, and I’m still thinking about @delairegraff in South Africa.

Perched above the vineyards of Stellenbosch, with the mountains stretching out in every direction, it’s a place where art, architecture, wine and hospitality come together rather beautifully.

There was plenty to admire, from the carefully curated interiors to the views of sunsets that made it difficult to put the camera away.

And then there was that surprise sunset picnic with canapés, MCC and a beautifully set table overlooking the vineyards.

South Africa certainly knows how to leave an impression.

Discipline changed more for me than motivation ever could.

Motivation comes and goes. Some days you feel excited, strong and ready to go and other days you simply don’t.

What really creates progress is showing up anyway. Keeping the promises you made to yourself. Choosing the habits that move you closer to the person you want to become, even when no one is watching.

You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep going. 🤍

Discipline is a form of self-respect.

I’ve wanted to go on safari for years. Now that I finally have, I still don’t quite have the words for what we experienced.

Watching these animals move through their own world, sometimes only a few metres away, was more extraordinary than I had imagined it would be. I kept putting my camera down just to look.

Deeply grateful that I got to see this with my own eyes.

At some point I’ll have to find the words for the article. For now, these will have to do.

High above Bantry Bay sits the Ellerman House. A place with an art collection of over a thousand pieces, style around every corner and an attitude of making you feel home. It’s all the Cape Town beauty but with a green estate vibe 🌿

Apparently “picnic“ at @delairegraff means a beautifully set table, canapés, MCC and a Stellenbosch sunset as the backdrop.

I could get used to this definition.
